And out of a Razldazl George bitch and showing the same fantastic desire to be the best as his grand sire. Night Bomber looks useful too.
No wonder you're chuffed - well done.

What a sensational run. Compared with Clondoty Alex's run on the same night it shows the blistering speed of this pup. He raced 'frantically'...reminded me of Ballydoyle Honey's action and that's not a bad thing.

Looks like he's the next big Talking Dog.

I see that Roxholme Nidge has got a greyhound data rating of 163 not many dogs get a rating that high

I actually bought the grand-dam, Theycallherbelle, at the Thurles sales on behalf of a friend for 400 euro! She had blistering early pace and being by Brett Lee I thought she might make a brood bitch when she finished racing. I had been asked by my friend to get him something to go along with a dog he already had. She turned out alright eh?

Richard - it should have been a still exceptional 145 Rating. GData are showing the going as Normal picking up an error on the GBGB site. GData also apply 1.5 spots a point to my Standard Time for Romford whereas my formula is calculated for 2 spots a point. All a bit academic as the run was exceptional but the 166 undermines the integrity of Ratings.

Ratings don't mean shite . Roxholme nidge is a flying machine as proven but ratings are just an opinion.

I disagree Jason. The ratings are important as they allow comparision of dogs between different tracks and are a measure of their general ability. If they sre unimportant why have them at all and why are they regularly mentioned when offering dogs for sale. I agree they are not the be all and end all - you obviously need to make ip your own mind. Unfortunately they are no longer reliable and this has undermined what was once a very useful Greyhound Data tool.

You can reduce a Sheffield rating by 20-25. Don't know why they feel they have to inflate theirs.

Chris people use ratings when selling dogs because some like to hear a that magic 100 something, in my opinion they're unreliable due to the goings +\- being to difficult for the racing managers to accurately to gauge , take an open race night for example the tracks run fast most of the time, then they throw in a graded race and generally the winner will do a time that it's never done before then gets a rating which is incorrect which leads me to my point, on top of that some tracks are kept in pristine condition ( the running surface) and some definitely aren't.

Jason you are spot on, Sheffields ratings are laughable. As previously mentioned also, he going is completely someones opinion, what is -10 to some could be -40 to others.

The proof in the pudding to any dog is the calibre of dog it beats and what dogs beat it.

Exactly my point Phil, people need to take more notice of the race, what they were up against, the track , the going, etc the ratings are far to unreliable in every department.
