Well done to all involved.

[Pawnote: It's hard to miss the "Australian influence" in the dog's pedigree too ... Surf Lorian as grand-sire; then Brett Lee & 2 x Top Honcho in the mix!]

CLICK HERE

Helped by some of Irelands finest dam lines.....Security Susan, Code Dancer.....a Double of Perrys Pusher Dianas Ranger and Mountleaders Ruth

Not to mention fine breeders in the Kennedy Family and Trainers in the Guilfoyles.......more to a great Derby winner than a few sires :)

That is so true, Yvonne, it's the WHOLE picture that counts.
Surf Lorian is one of my favourite sires in Oz.
He is heavily inbred, perfect for nice bitches of outcross blood. Helps if they are nice bitches.
For those that use him, Definate Opinion, and maybe now this boy, Good News, over some nice bitches you will reap the rewards.
For the small part of the equation the sire is responsible for, SL had the ability to intro the X factor...seems that is continuing down the line...great to see.

Congrats to connections of Good News.
All the hard work has been rewarded and you now will live on cloud 9.

Mick: Massive Aussie influence in this dogs breeding, sad Yvonne is so defensive towards the Irish Damlines. Little unknown Aussie dog in their called Brett..Something. Heard he could go Ok! Takes two to complete the job Yvonne. We are happy for the connections, why close us out?

Yeah, ya get that, TJ.
At the end of the day, what ever the reason, influence, combination, he's a very impressive pooch.
Truth be known...it's written in the stars and the lunar.
Good News born under a 7/8 right moon...Surf Lorian born under pretty much the same....
Bloody spooky, hey.

Look forward to hearing more about this boy, he's a beauty.
Would make an interesting sire choice for many oz bitches too...

Nobody closed you out......Thats why I said...."helped by".....What I was saying was the dog is bloody well bred!!

Not that Australia has nothing to do with it......Thats why there was also a SMILE at the end of why I said so that defensive Ozzies didnt take offence :) :) :)

Hello Yvonne, I went to a seminar last week re: Tracks, Dog safety the PTB are worried about the speed dogs are running into the corners. They recommend we slow the tracks, Harrow deeper, more water on tracks, bigger Camber etc, I suggested we SLOW UP THE DOGS! How they asked??? Simple, use IRISH STUD DOGS! Ozzie Humour :):) Tezza

Yvonne: Not out to knock any Dog's! DO was a terrific dog, and has produced a Champion son. No doubt about that, Just some friendly banter, however owner's and Trainers are fair game as they can defend themselves, on this forum. Look forward to locking horns again soon. Tezza

Ml.
'AUSSI' dogs (SURF LORIAN, INC) are by and large a 'misnomer'.
The Aussi population is basically the 'pure' IRISH ingredients of IRISH EXPORTS ,' TIVOLI DREAMER' AND 'WAVERLY SUPREME' allied to some Aussi 'filling'.
Granted, serious 'management calculations-and delicate cooking of the ingredients, is evident and is to be seriously admired.

Pretty sure I have some Convict blood in my Ancestor's Danny! But born in Australia. Makes me Australian! Pharaohs and Roman's were depicted with Greyhounds also, how far are you prepared to go back?
Yes we over here all agree Tivoli Dreamer, and Waverly Supreme had HUGH influences on our blood stock. as did Sandman. what you sent us, came back as even better stock! must of been that "Filling"
