This bloke deserves his own thread - KONG

Won his maiden at Maitland running a slashing 24.87 & has won there also in 24.84.

At Bulli he's landed some equally brilliant times 26.18, 26.13, 26.10 & 26.03.

At Wentworth Pk where he has won 4, he's recorded 29.90 twice, 29.86 & 29.68.

He's won 14 from 29 starts so far & weighs in at a whopping 39 kilo's, hence the race name I gather.

Bred & whelped by Jeff & Jane Crawford out of "Fantasy Royale", a litter sister to their former racing star "Leeroy Rocker", Kong looks set to continue the success of this damline which stretches back to the hall of famer - National Lass ---> CLICK HERE

Hi Kayla

Was considering Aphorism after we talked about him at Wenty.

I know your guy was a rocket, a track record holder over 520m at Nowra, and as keen as mustard.

Its the Premier Fantasy and the National Lass damline I was looking at for Flying Trance (you guys might not remember her but you broke her in)

Yes indeed that bloke can gallop, awesome 2 watch in full flight ! From what I have seen he is just about unbeatable at Bulli & can put up sub 30's at W.P. As 4 his bloodlines they are impressive & the main thing that I noticed & from our experiences with "Mogambo's" progeny is they're really big K9's - obviously why they named him Kong I'm guessing. I hope he continues on his winning ways. Regards 2 all...

I just asked and they are doing their best to continue with rehab and a racing career. I didn't go into detail but I hope he gets back somewhere close and can race soundly. Very fast dog.

Thanks for the update. Gee he would struggle at stud with the amount on offer and the lack breeding currently

He dropped both his back muscles at his come-back race in the Maitland Cup heats recently.

Will he go to stud? Probably not due to today's current climate (lack of breeding) & costs that should be reduced to accommodate dogs like Kong, that deserve a chance.

Just letting you all know that Kong is going through the stages of being a registered stud dog, he had his DNA done today.
We have a bitch Swift Yarn (Magic Sprite X Cindeen Shelby) that we are going to breed with and put her to the mighty Kong.
