Made the decision on the day of the meeting, when forecasts are more accurate.
Common sense indeed, well done GRV.

I reckon there will be a few donation there tonight Calum.
There's a big crowd of tourists in town and they all love watching the dishlickers.

Here's a sample from Thursday.

Don't be fooled...although I do applaud the move GRV made when it comes to $$$ & the vacancy.
Commonsense has prevailed here & on more than one occasion.
Firstly they CANNED a meeting that was supposed to be racing during the PRIME Saturday timeslot, & transferred it to Friday (another prime timeslot) due to the GRV Hot Weather policy.
So why didn't they cancel (or transfer) the Warrnambool Race Meeting that was programmed 2 races before The Meadows Meet? Because the meeting was not as important & by holding off, a prime timeslot was there to be taken...even if it was only 2 races later.

Life's a gamble & this one paid off.

No wonder Victoria is the place to be.
