Very well said Terry but look at the NSW Govt.

SYDNEY BRIDGE TOLLS SOLD!
SYDNEY TUNNEL TOLLS SOLD!
SYDNEY POWER LINES SOLD!
NSW LOTTO SOLD!
How many BILLIONS per year have they thrown to the SH%T HOUSE in that little lot its beyond a joke.

I agree. One of your best.

Some writers are too busy writing and dont have enough time to properly read other posts. I have to look up that last word so I have homework to do.

Wherever there's money, a hovering politician lurks
Alas, it's us who elect most of these bloody jerks
While we're expected to pay for their inflated perks
They sleep in Parliment, then consider it as work!

Steve

If going use capitals & act like you know ownership .,,please get it right

Sydney Bridge has always been owned & actually run by NSW Govt
Sydney Tunnel is a 50/50 split between private & govt for running but always owned by NSW Govt contractorary..,the 30 year contact for split running runs out in 2022 whereby it will be fully run by NSW Govt
The NSW powerlines are leased, not sold ...

Cheers

The Harbour Bridge cost was covered some years back, and the Labor Govt stopped the Toll. Then had second thoughts just a few months later. Realising just what a Golden Egg it had become.
Like "Speed Camera's" No sickies, Holiday Pay, Long Service, Superannuation, Uniform, On Duty 24/7. And Leased to Macquarie Banking Institution. Win Win Win
Don't fix the road!! Install a speed Camera instead! and make a fine profit.

Terry,

Unless you have civil engineering and accounting qualifications your points serve no purpose. Everything else is unsupportable hyperbole which can only detract from the real need - to change government policy on greyhound racing.

I also suggest people do not bother looking up the last word because it is used incorrectly anyway.

But the RGH quote is almost certainly right.

It's bloody amazing just how much information is coming out of the GBOTA and GRNSW. the secret service has nothing on these blokes, WHAT A BLOODY DISGRACE and insult to us the participants of this once beautiful sport.

Heard a whisper State rail could be interested as well as Gosford Hospital in buying the land but that would be such a shame as it has been a good track. Where is the transparency from GRNSW & the GBOTA that they wanted so much????

Now Now clever dickie, who has for years been screaming for Track changes? Design, Cambers, Box alignment to corner starts, Lure design, Catching Pen safety etc? I'll ask YOU BRUCE! YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?.....Sorry WRITER not sufficient!
Bruce you have a most annoying trait, when you have trouble conversing you employ this I'm better Educated than you mentality.
Freely giving "lessons in English" Diction, Punctuation, Grammer, Spelling etc.
We minions of Greyhound training are not the least bit interested in spelling mistakes. Please desist from this habit Bruce.

BTW Mr.Perfect who described the Buddhist Professor from Queensland as an "EMIRANT PROFESSOR".....Did you mean "EMINENT PROFESSOR"? DILL..Hope that's used in it's right context?

Terry.

Thanks for the info about my typo. Very careless of me. Still, it's good to hear you read that - it was a very important point.

By the way, it's grammar, not grammer.

Tracks? Good question. No, it's not the writer. I did those gigs only because a number of organisations asked me to contribute. It's actually the form analyst who almost certainly knows more about more Australian tracks than any man alive. (Maybe Sure Pick, too). By that I mean which thing causes what problem.

How so? Because I have spent 20 or 30 years analysing times, dividends, individual dog form, tracks, videos and different trip lengths in fine detail, all using a complex database which I can query at will. Or I could - I have virtually given it up now as people no longer want to buy information (they like tipsters) and I am not much interested in betting for reasons I have outlined previously.

Unfortunately, the analysis is where it ends. I cannot offer detailed track answers because that requires much more work to sort out how the many ingredients go together to develop a good answer. I can offer suggestions and general points but no more. Hopefully, UTS will do better.

English? I make no apologies for trying to write correctly. I find messages are more effective if you do that. Besides, it's been part of my job. Anyway, you are exaggerating. I responded to that last query about the meaning of the word only because someone asked. Otherwise I would have ignored it.

From GBOTA website:

Gosford update

9 June 2018
Stakeholders are advised of the following in relation to the delays to the rebuild of the Gosford track.

GRNSW, in consultation with NSW GBOTA, has submitted a request for funding for the Gosford project from the NSW Governments grants program for greyhound track safety. The request, which was supported by a business case, is being reviewed by the Office of Racing. We hope to have an update on this funding request shortly.

Work was originally ceased due to underlying ground movement, below the track sub-base, which must be treated to ensure the overall rebuild of the track is undertaken in such a way that ensures its longevity.

Coordinating parties understand the strain that is placed on participants, workers, sponsors and the local community, when local venues are unable to be used for sustained periods.

The overall intent however, is to ensure that the project is completed in a manner that ensures the final project starts to deliver on the betterment of the industry and its racing venues.

The NSW GBOTA is aware of concerns raised with regards to the conversion of the Gosford site to Hospital car parking. This rumour is not true, DA applications and building applies to the Showground Road to the south of the track.

Further updates, including the projected return to racing will be provided as soon as possible.

Once again a projected expos'e of "Dancing Words" (Political
Speech) designed to hoodwink industry participants into false
security of the proposed "Reopening".
Between the two GRNSW and GBOTA, you would expect the truth
or immediate knowledge concerning this dilemma, to be made
known to it's grassroot members, instead of a jumbled page
of their inadequate guesses! As mentioned before, with all
the increases in fees and administration appointments they
expect us to believe their own uncertain ramblings about
this track! Do any of them "really" know, or are we justified
in our increasing mistrust in this and other happenings to
our sport of late. The "Secret Service" looks like it's
well entrenched, at our expense. You can't run a business on
promises. unless their is collusion involved. We the public
cannot expect to win a truthful answer while the rules are stacked against us. Meanwhile this saga rolls on to nowhere!
