Darren,

No, they didn't help. But the racing package is one where the parts all contribute to the whole. Greyhounds offer by far the most numerous events and can therefore take advantage of the huge patronage generated by the gallops. Whether we get a bigger or smaller piece of the pie is a matter of how good our management is.

Crappy races won't work. Excellence would.

Crappy races won't work. BUT they programme more Pathway's & Masters, 0-1 win, 0-2 wins over 600 & 700m! WTF. Now want 6 dog fields. Want EXCELLENT RACING? Fix the bloody GRADING system first.
No No Terry, We must concentrate on Welfare (First & Foremost) racing is almost an after thought!

Would timely for Mestrov (where is he) or Judith Lind to speak up in the media about unfair fund distribution on Intercode, tax parity and POC tax.

It's clear the horses cant survive without us, so they need to shrink in size also.

PS, I own multiple races horses now

An old article but worth a read. We have been involved in horses as well but there silence during our time of need leaves me not feeling sorry for them.

It was blantantly obvious that they didnt want us around and were prepared to risk the gap left by the industry for other sporting Industries to take up the slack.

Anthony,
They dont think its necessary for their industry to shrink.

At last the name scott has been thrown into the mix am I wrong wasn't it scott that signed us up for 99 yrs of being raped of money and is it not scott that has left us with no leadership against the STUPID rules that are being thrown down our throats isn't it scott that has allowed the prosecution of the Mchue report to be left unfinished. It is my opinion that a lot of the loss of action against the wrongs being dished out to us can be layed squarely on the leadership who I think starts with scott. Please let me know if I am wrong the above are how it appears to me and being an old dinosaur I may be wrong I will allow you people who know more to advise me.

Tell me if Im wrong, but

I believe that Scott signed off on Alliance Guarantees.

I believe that Scott was on the Iemmas Reform Panel and assisted with making Recommendations

I believe that Scott is on the GWIC Committee

I believe that Scott is the CEO of the GBOTA

I believe that Scott is the Returning Officer for elections of directors for GBOTA when they are held

I believe that Scott could not possibly represent many other participants (non-members of the GBOTA) due to his position at the GBOTA.

I believe that he was one of a few who was involved in the ICA.

I believe that the Alliance forked out around 500,000 (plus) for what appears to be failed court matter n perhaps the same amount (plus) with the GBOTA underwriting the amount.

Please tell me if there is anything incorrect so I can remove it.

I hope this helps.

Only the ABC could criticize a greyhound track for holding an adoption day.

I liked it.

Some interesting stuff like the $30k increase in prize money in the last year at ... you guessed it .... Bathurst,

and

Horses domiciled here wont be slaughtered but it appears there is a loophole, where horses can go interstate like Caboolture,

and

No tracking system from birth to retirement,

and

The tongue-tie, training techniques,

and

Debbie Prest

and

the reporter never mentioned any prosecutions for gross cruelty

and

Peter VLandys

ABC are pathetic & extremely soft on the Thoroughbred Racing industry on tonight's Four Corners , they said most industry members are honest & passionate about the sport / horses but said the opposite about greyhound industry members, no mention of widespread doping / race fixing around Australia in horse racing but stated that in their greyhound industry expose a couple of years ago which is a huge double standard & surprised they worked with the devil himself V'landys , they tarnished every 1 of us yet only went after a few grubs I'm in the horse racing industry.

Both codes dogs and horses need to move into the new reality and take care of all of their animals
The hierarchy in both codes needs to stop bullshitting and look after both codes ,from top to bottom , not just the top end !
Disgraceful ........
And if both codes are to survive they need to admit and acknowledge they need the public in assisting them in giving them homes instead of the big wigs focusing on taking everyone's money ! Very short vision !
Both codes are selfish ignorant and it's a shame
They could survive quite nicely if everyone took responsibility for the most important element , the product !
It's very plain and obvious to see where racing alround as a profession has gone wrong
We aren't in the 80's anymore , and nothing is a secret ! It's a small world now and whether you like it or not to what or where we have ended up in today's society and it's new expectations, things and Poeple in charge need a massive wake up call or both codes will be lost !
Where to start ? Start from the ground and work up !
Or !!! Let's do what the horse industry have done , look after the top end
Seems to be working a treat !
Rediculous and so pathetic!
Ps Thompson and vlandy's are the biggest arrogant dumb grubs you'll see

Johnathon relax mate & that was a bit much with that 'let's cut their throats' line , the only horse racing industry members that supported us are the people in both greyhounds & horse racing industries like you & a few others , V'landys the racing honcho said he would like to see greyhound racing industry gone so how can you defend grubs like that & he speaks for most horse racing people doesn't he.
