Been listening to Mark Levy on 2GB who's filling in for Ray Hadley , a little earlier Mark mentioned on the air that some of the NSW LNP MPs (Baird's Cronies) are questioning why they backflipped over the Greyhound Racing Ban & some are wanting the ban back in place after News of RSPCA discovery of 12 emaciated Greyhounds & a mass grave on a property , even though it's the media & LNP morons repeating history by tarnishing everyone in the industry over 1 idiot , should we be worried about the ban possibly coming back ??

That's all we need. Interesting though what Peter V'Landys told his cronies in that clip on 4 corners last Monday night...that the reason that Baird rescinded the ban was because he feared that the horses would be the next target.

The Libs are now riding high in the polls at State level, so anything is possible, but I doubt if the Nats would support the move.

Branko,

Hardly surprising given that the industry (with only minor exceptions) has failed to put a full and repeated story out to the public and the pollies. If it does not do that the idiots will rule as they have for the last 50 years.

Whether Mark Levy, Hadley or Joe Bloggs, they have no handy reference to rebut the claims and put them in the right perspective.

Where's the press release from GWIC or GRNSW reflecting the true details. Shame on the Liberals / Nationals for not understanding the facts before coming out with their support for the BAN. Well, they just showed their hand again !

Thank you Lib / Nat Coalition for showing us what you really stand for .

Why is it that the thoroughbreds are never threatened with a ban,Over the years the horse industry has had hundreds of cruelty cases , no records kept of destroyed or exported horses, drug related cases.crooked jockeys fixing races ,horse ring ins.Overuse of the whip cases ,jockeys pulling up horsesand fixing races and the list goes on and on, so apart from money what's so bloody special about the treatment we get and the treatment they get and yes where are our highly overpaid and unqualified leaders when we desperately need someone to stand up and defend our sport. ?????????

I think all this bullsh#t that keeps rearing its ugly head is a way of throwing people off what's going on elsewhere in the other codes.

They need to be reminded that its NOT just a bit of FINE COTTON WERE PEOPLE WHO WERE PUTING THERE HARD EARNED ON AND THE ONLY ONES TO MAKE MONEY WERE IN THE KNOW.

DONT TELL ME ITS NOT STILL GOING ON.

Page 7 Sydney Telegraph (Sat.July 14) " Dazza's Dodgy Deals". State Liberal M.P Daryl Maguire, Wagga Wagga M.P. said he would stand aside after I.C.A.C, by phone taps caught him seeking a " dividend" increase between a Leb. and Chinese property developer. Said he might now stand as an independent. Nothing to see here, move along. For an elected public servant, i'm thinking the public can still feed him for the next ten years at "Her majesty's service". What riles me , is the fact this was newsworthy enough to be page seven fodder.!!!! Politicians, Lebanese, Chinese property developers, always should ring alarm bells at I.C.AC. Australia is finished.

Bill,

Re: Why is it that the thoroughbreds are never threatened with a ban.

Mate, actually, they are repeatedly and routinely by the Greens, AA & co on jumps, whips etc.

Second, the gallops deal with it, often taking the initiative or getting in first, or being aggressive, as VLandys was the other night.

Third, people like horses, greyhounds not so much.

Fourth, horses are featured in the Australian culture from movies to wars to life in the outback to a bet on Saturday arvo. Not so greyhounds. The story is there but it has not been published properly.

Fifth, politics/the big end of town/taxes/tradition/Baird-Grant-Toole and so on. So go hard and go early.
