To clear up any misunderstanding I shall give the reasons for my post titled Mirror Image? ONE and more to come, O K I claim that from the mid 18th and 19th centuries the thoroughbred and racing greyhound breeds both evolved the same cyclical system of evolution.
So far 2 cycles have been completed in thoroughbred evolution we are now about half way through our 3rd cycle and 4 cycles have been completed in racing greyhound evolution usually the start of a cycle is signalled when the produce of two stallions or two racing greyhound sires start to race.
The start of the very first cycle is signalled when the produce of a single stallion or a single racing greyhound sire starts to race and to see these cycles one has to look at their pedigrees in a certain way, well for starters you need to know the identity of the two stallions or two racing greyhounds that I have referred to and the identity of the single stallion or the single racing greyhound sire that started the whole thing of.
Lets have a look at the parental sire line of the 2016 Irish Derby winner Rural Hawaii stretching back to the Pilot (born 1820) and the parental sire line of the 2003 Melbourne Cup winner Bombastic Shiraz also stretching back to the Pilot (born 1820).

RURAL HAWAII

When people look at the pedigree of any racehorse or racing greyhound they usually only look back a few generations the further they look back the less familiar the names of the racehorse or racing greyhound ancestors become.
For instance the names of Northern Dancer and Mr Prospector will no doubt take up less time in peoples thoughts as time goes by so their names will begin to fade remember Northern Dancer is the racehorse version of Hi There while Mr Prospector is the racehorse version of Champion Prince.
How many people reading this will no doubt be unfamiliar with this names of Hi There and Champion Prince, people tend to look at the point that an individual stallion or racing greyhound sire has made sufficient impact to have adopted a unique identity there fore people might refer to the Bombastic Shiraz or Head Bound sire lines.
Now when one looks at the parental sire line of Rural Hawaii one has to image that Head Honcho is the Originator of the sire line that descends from him, for instance Rural Hawaii is considered a member of that sire line suppose the Head Honcho sire line and his own sire Walkabout Sid is considered a member of an entirely different sire line.
One has to imagine that Head Honcho also helped to initiate the 4th cycle in racing greyhound evolution now travelling back beyond Head Honcho one has to imagine that Champion Prince is the Originator of the sire line that descends from him and for instance Walkabout Sid is a member of that sire line the Champion Prince sire line.
One has to imagine that Champion Prince helped to initiate along with Hi There the 3rd cycle in racing greyhound evolution while his own sire Bellas Prince is considered a member of an entirely different sire line as a matter of fact Bellas Prince is considered a member of the Staff Officer sire line.
One has to imagine that Staff Officer is the Originator of the sire line that descends from him and that his own sire Friendly Foe is the member of an entirely different sire line, Friendly Foe is considered a member of the Cardinal York sire line and Cardinal York is the single racing greyhound that started the whole thing of once his produce started to run.
Now if one looks at the parental sire line of Bombastic Shiraz one has to imagine that Ginger is the Originator of the sire line that descends from him and Bombastic Shiraz is a member of that sire line which one could call the Ginger sire line actually whenever the produce of Head Honcho and Ginger started to race it signalled the start of the 4th cycle in racing greyhound evolution.
Now Gingers own sire Eaglehawk Star is considered a member of an entirely different sire line the Champion Prince sire line whenever the produce of Champion Prince and Hi There started to run it signalled the start of the 3rd cycle in racing greyhound evolution.
Also I shall write again that whenever the produce of Cardinal York started to race it signalled the start of the very first cycle in racing greyhound evolution and this is what the content of the posts title Mirror Image? ONE and hopefully more will be about finding what enabled me to think of Northern Dancer, Mr Prospector, Cyllene, St Simon and Eclipse as Specific Starting Points or animals that I considered as being at the start or the beginning of sire lines in thoroughbred evolution.
Also finding out what enable me to think of Head Honcho, Credibility Brett Lee and Westmead Hawk all considered by me as the latest versions of Hi There and the latest version of Jamie and the latest version of Cardinal York and to think of Ginger and New Tears as the latest versions Champion Prince and the latest version of Staff Officer and the latest version of Cardinal York.
The plot thickens?
Back with more posts Cheers.
