This case goes to VCAT.

EXTERNAL LINK

After examination away from the Kangaroo Court a Life ban is reduced to 2 years and taking into account time served will be all over in about 7 months.

GRV must be getting short of cash, will be interesting to read the Annual Report which is not there yet, like the VCAT result on Paul Anderton. IS IT BEING HELD UP BECAUSE OF THE UP COMIMNG ELECTION? It is over 6 months now, BET THE RACING MINISTER/ATTORNY GENERAL WILL NOT ANSWER THAT QUESTION. WONT ANSWER POLICE QUESTIONS!

Remember A VOTE FOR LABOR IS A VOTE FOR THE GREENS AND THE CURRENT GRV MOB WHO DO NOT PLACE PARTICIPANTS FIRST BUT THEIR POLITICAL MASTERS.

It's plain and simple Paul doesn't have a case to answer, GRV have lost at every level and all charges were dropped by the rspca and police etc

It's just a control thing, they don't want to show the public they were wrong or that some participants are actually innocent.

I really feel for Kerry Chalker, he got 10 yrs for asking for a fresh dead rabbit on the arm..........."willfull blindness" was what he was charged with for just being there trialing. Seriously what is that when you are busy boxing your dog and ensuring it's safety !

The guys a ripping bloke who really cared for his dogs and his owners. Did everything possible to keep new owners in the sport and introduced many new people into the industry, you really couldn't be in better hands as a new person in the sport............they didn't even bother to check the character of the person before they smashed him with his penalty. An absolute gentleman Kerry, and a real injustice was done to him.

It cost him his job too as he worked for the TAB and they cldn't be seen to be hiring a suspended/disqualified person.

108.In reaching these decisions, I have not regarded the GRV Animal Welfare Penalty Guidelines as of great assistance. The Guidelines, which bind neither the RADB or VCAT, suggest severe sanctions, impliedly assuming culpability on the part of the person who was breached the Rules. Given I have not attributed such culpability to Mr Briffa, the Guidelines do not assist, beyond indicating disqualification of some form is appropriate.

How many trainers would refer to this statement when they have had no control over what some swabs turn up.

Been a while and i couldn't help myself i had to say my two bobs worth..

So here goes hang on...

So many where thrown under the Bus ...

Still today many have not got there life in order and they struggle with all kinds of mental illness many will never work again .

This is so sad and unjust and there have been many of us banging away for years for INJUSTICE these GRV Members have suffered ..

It's a fact ...
Where there's smoke theres fire

Big Charlie Bezzina COVER UP with Lyn White from Animals Australia did it for me with as far as trusting the PTB ...
Charlie decided to get out early and resigned shortly after this meeting ..

All tapes were supposedly destroyed but nothing really gets destroyed it all still out there ..trust me ..

TRUST V Mistrust and lies

We were all told to trust in the PTB they have our backs all the way .....

Hahahahah What fools we have been we have let our INDUSTRY spiral out of control ...

WHO DOES THIS SUIT IN THE END

Sandown are gearing up for Racing
This club our club seems to think its fare to spend its money on setting up racing breeding kennels ...

IGNORANT big headed fools ...

What right have they got to BREED GREYHOUNDS and what right have they got to take up very valuable GAP spots ..

THIS IS SO WRONG ..

The GRV are set on setting up PRO RACING KENNELS they are not interested in the little battler any more and we all can see the writing on the wall ..

If Sandown and the GRV are so hell bent on setting up racing kennels then i will personally continually attack every single dog every single race race dog they own they will . be responsible for and i just want to see how many GAP places these guys think they entitled to ..

PS
Please don't vote LABOUR .....LABOUR AND THE GREENS SIT SIDE BY SIDE ...

VOTE for the future of Greyhound racing its imperative we show our force in Numbers ......

Kevin I was speaking to Michael Floyd a few weeks ago and was asking about Sandown and peoples concerns in this regard (amongst many other topics). He urged me to ask people like yourself who have concerns to call him at work, (he may not be available Fri) so as he can address them.

He insists Sandown is up front and is doing this to ensure the future of greyhound racing in this State.

Pls don't shoot the messenger :)

Of course Mick Floyd would say that, you don't bite the hand that feeds you. I have plenty of info too, from the horses mouth that gave Sandown the low down on Syndication.

I have very old long time trainers that will tell you that Sandown is a law unto itself. There can be many arguments that this mess is all stemming from the inability of GRV to handle Tooradin with the people who were there then, to the current crop and(CEO) who hung his hat on the overbreeding myth and the sacrifice of innocent people and the influence the Racing Minister had on the outcome of that and to subdue the Greens Go look at the Greens policies on their web site.

The future of greyhound racing in this state and all states is up to the governing bodies, not individual clubs and this state of affairs should not even exist.

Ryan you need to know more and maybe you wont want to because it is an absolute disgrace. The word arrogance comes to hand quickly. We know what's best for you. Trust us.

Charles, I understand your(and others) feelings, and take your point about individual clubs - it has merit, but I'm not the person to speak to.

I spoke to him about betting, form and other issues. I happened to mention the syndication and stated that more than a few participants weren't impressed and had expressed their views on this site...........i don't know much about the details of it all as you guys do, but his response was "pls ask them to call me."

Can it really hurt to talk to the guy ?

Ryan I agree maybe there is a simple logical explanation .

I am a small unimportant person in this Industry Ryan ....Mick does not need to explain anything to me ..

Mick Floyd has posted on Data many times before so he can speak up if he thinks he is being hard done by .

I also have to say that BREEDERS within Victoria should be encouraged to Breed well before Sandown and The GRV decide what's best for breeding and really Mate who do they think they are ....

it's WRONG and it takes up valuable GAP spots that many participants need ...

The fat cats still pat each other on the back because most of them could possibly sell the club pups for over inflated price who knows what will happen who controls the spending ...

We all now know and understand that so many people were railroaded and this is more important to me than some ones grand plans about breeding ...

Maybe we should look at COMPENSATION for those families effect by the GRV very harsh actions ...

that hasn't happened for a while & it won't be happening anymore, he has his reasons and he may explain them to you.............also i doubt he considers you or anyone in the industry unimportant, that's kinda his job to make sure he doesn't do that.

pls call him when you have time, i wldn't mind hearing both sides and I dont know enuf of the detail to do it myself. cheers

That's a good Question Anthony! Off topic though.

This is about the RADB, GRV and.....
appropriate Justice.

I suggest ring Sandown and ask them.

I had the misfortune of coming across the RADB via telephone link. Before the call they had already decided the punishment.Being an interstater they were hell bent on making a statement no matter what I brought up.They are a disgrace and yes a kangaroo court in the extreme.
