Geoff Collins is polling quite well in his region, 6.45%. As it stands he will not be elected, but it is really, really close. According to Antony Greens Upper House calculator, if the pre-polls and postals shift 1% of the Labor vote to the Liberals/Nationals for instance, he will get in.

I don't think we'll know this one for a while.....

Unfortunately the next stage of the count wasn't as favourable, not looking good now.

animal justice party may be doing far better than shooters and fishers . they may have one or 2 across the line even with fewer votes. it may be that labours landslide victory is our industrys saving grace at least for the next 8 years

Yeah I couldnt work that out either.
Looks like Mildura has removed the Nats from one of their safest seats. And the Greens got about 3% of first preference votes.
Proves that 3 out of 100 people in 'the community' do not approve of any radical Green junk policy.

Im on the road so doing this by my phone .. all minor parties have to do preference deals in one seat to get preferences delivered in another and SFFP are no different .. the most important thing was that the SFFP didnt lose the 2 sitting members .. which looks ok at the moment .. if I get in thats a bonus and still possible although preferences will have to fall my way

Our preferences wont get us elected as they will only be handed out when we are out of the race .. that said I voted below the line and did my own preferences so bypassed Hinch as did quite a few other voters

Currently were sitting at 4.75% of the vote with 44% counted which is double what we got last election .. thats fantastic but as we all know preferences will be a major factor for us gaining a third member

shooters and fishers didnt have to distribute preferences that way and could have gone to labour or liberals . looks like 4 deryn hinch 1 animal justice 1 green. 2 shooters and fishers if saved against 5 antis is nothing to get excited about. and this is from my fone too. did you know where the preferences were to be directed?
currently shooters and fishers dont rate a men tion in the new parliment

Disappointed in SFFP on the distribution issue.
Wish I had been aware of this prior to voting would have taken the time to vote below the line.

I had nothing to do with the preferences, that was done by the Party.

As i understand it Deals had to be made ...This is Politics ..2018

If Geoff could of got in then we would be looking at a different picture with preferences....

Maybe in 4 years time we can get all together and do it all again ...

Well done Geoff Collins and Roz for your hard work.
we should all understand sometimes in politics we have to do a deal with with the devil ...

Our time will come in 4 years time so until that time have fun breed and race to your heart's content GO THE DOGS ...

44% counted not even in the straight and a few negative pessimists are calling the result.
Just wait and see fellas.
Geoff had the courage to stick his hand up and have a crack in a party which backs our industry.
If you are getting your insights from the ABC website remember they were calling Labor 60 seats last night and have adjusted that down to 52 today.
The ABC choose lies, speculation and sensationalism to push their "anti" agenda why would you believe their guesses now? I thought the AEC counted the votes.

Nothing against you Geoff. Thanks for putting your hand up. I will support you again if you stand.
Just dissapointed in the Party I've been a member of for a couple of years now.
Giving preferences to others with an agenda completely opposite to what I believed the SFFP stood for has me stunned and perplexed.
