The potent cliche between Kinloch and collision broods continues

It was one of the best cliches going around 2 years ago

This dog is a star no make mistakes can lead or come from behind young but breed to run distance.

I have made no condition offer of $270k and can stay with trainer.I would retire him very quickly compare him to fabregas or any others tell me one of them that breaks fernando bale record at bendigo remember the previous holder el grand senor and he couldn't run a true 520m. The true test is when they go close twice.
A absolute star.

This is really interesting in that Collision as a damsire doesn't carry Temlee in x, and knowing that Temlee when in x gives up Mister Moss in x, and therefore a chance to click with his brother Max Moss in Kinloch's ped in x.

It's very obvious with outcrosses if you believe in the x path theory.

Having said that, is this one of these 'ATypical' type situations where it is more likely that it is in fact not Collision bitches giving up that niche, but instead the x path of the broods grandam that brings the niche to the fore thru Temlee in x ?

When you look at the top 20 offspring of Kinloch Brae all the Aus dogs in that top 20 all carry Temlee in x, even the top dog on that list Ballymac Vic & the 3rd top dog Aero Gaga whose pedigrees vastly consist of non Aus dogs, carry Temlee in x.

btw I'm not saying you're wrong in your thinking Nathan as it's logical, but I do think you need to take it a step further and find out why that may be the case. Cheers

In feb I made a big statement how good this dog is ---many laughed not so many now he will break with no doubt all the 600m records and the 550m to boot I hope he doesn't because 600m dogs are not so good at stud because of the pressure cheers

I see he's at stud now. $1100.
Well priced. I hope he gets a few bitches.
Aussie Infrared started at $1100 and is kicking goals.

I would use him.

Goodluck to connections hope he gets a good start at stud.

Without sounding negative and its obviously debatable but sons of KB haven't really set the world on fire at stud.

thanks Jamie,
He definately had his admirers
Dna came back in January and he has served his first bitch a sister to Star is born and full blood sister to Blue Moon rising, poco dorodo etc.

please see below a write up from david Brasch:
we are also offering naturals for the same price as a straw, so a nice saving on implant costs (here in vic)-

FLYNN at stud

DAMLINES rise and fall, some to obscurity, but in the case of the famed Bay Road Queen line, it has stood the test of time and continues to toss up superstars. One of those is the record breaking sprinter, royally-bred FLYNN.
The son of Kinloch Brae-Jubilation by Collision, he was a monster on the racetrack from the time breeder, part-owner and trainer Harry Manolitsis stepped him out.
His 14 wins, nine placings and almost $100,000 in stakes is typical of what can be expected from one so immaculately bred and with such speed and determination.
Along the way FLYNN landed a Bendigo track record of 23.37 ... and at just his fifth race start!
He also picked up the ultimate test of speed, the Group 3 Speed Star running 29.08 around Sandown.
Add to that his victory in the Listed Ballarat Derby and you have a dog of the highest quality who goes to stud with just about every attribute any stud dog could wish for.
But, he raced the very best right throughout his career.
FLYNN was also a finalist at Group 1 level in the Melbourne Cup and Harrison Dawson, and made the final also of the young dog's testing material, the Launching Pad.
FLYNN was never a cotton wool champion. He raced the best of his era taking on such superstars as Whiskey Riot, Feral Franky, Orson Allen, Start A Riot, Tauwitchere, Jaro Bale, Last Hurrah, Barooga Brett, Lucy's Milo etc.

The pedigree of FLYNN just had to be done by Harry Manolitsis, a highly proven cross, and it resulted in a litter of eight of which seven were winners. It also included Shoot To Miss a Group 2 Sandown Laurels finalist.
By champion US-bred and Irish-based stud dog Kinloch Brae, FLYNN's sireline is dominant in Australia. The champion sired by Kinloch Brae include Ring The Bell, Rajasthan, Moreira, Brad Hill Billy, Bells Are Ringin, Get It Gizmo, Western Envoy, Blazin' Bomber, Seeking Justice, Premium Share, Big Daddy Bee, Perfect Marshall ... you get the idea!

FLYNN's mother Jubilation (Collision-Velocity Cloud by Bombastic Shiraz) is a litter sister to Captivating and Velocity Shirl.
Captivating is the dam of champion Black Opium (G1 Sapphire Crown, G1 Brisbane Cup, 2nd G1 Melbourne Cup, G1 Australian Cup, finalist G1 Easter Egg, G1 National Sprint, G1 Topgun, Million Dollar Chase etc) and the high class gallopers Equalizer, Immunity and Poise (finalist G1 Sapphire Crown).
Velocity Shirl is the dam of superstar stayer Velocity Bettina (17 wins, $163,000, G3 Golden Sands, G3 Super Stayers, 2nd G1 Qld Cup, finalist G1 Rookie Rebel etc).
This is the damline of legends Flying Amy and Tenthill Doll.
FLYNN goes to stud with a dam full of the very best lines this country has seen ... that of Collision, Bombastic Shiraz, Brett Lee and Token Prince. It allows for FLYNN to be mated with confidence with so many, many lines.
Like what?
The first and most obvious is daughters of Black Magic Opal, Zambora Brockie, KC And All, Fernando Bale, Barcia Bale and any bitches with Knocka Norris (or his sister Elite Oriental) just to start with.
The fact Black Magic Opal mated FLYNN's mother's litter sister Captivating to produce champion Black Opium means daughters of Black Magic Opal are a MUST for him. And by that reasoning, so are bitches with Magic Sprite, the sire of Black Magic Opal.
It is also interesting in the pedigree of Black Opium that she introduces a cross of the famed Genuine Replica female family. This is the direct female line of boom young stud dog Zambora Brockie. We have already seen that Zambora Brockie, when mated to FLYNN's direct damline, has produced Group star Velocity Bettina.
Thus, it makes perfect sense for anyone with daughters of Zambora Brockie to mate them to FLYNN to recreate the pedigree of such an outstanding race bitch as Velocity Bettina.

This damline has also done extremely well when linked to Knocka Norris, producing Group 1 finalist Poise and her fine littermates. Knocka Norris, and his litter sister Elite Oriental, are found in many pedigrees. The standouts are of course Aston Dee Bee, Poke The Bear and his brother Out Of Range, Hooked On Scotch, Beast Unleashed, Robson ... which means this link can be picked up as much as possible by breeders with bitches that carry this line.
The Jubilation/Captivating damline has done exceptionally well when mated to such sires as Barcia Bale, his son Dyna Double One, and the US stud great KC And All. Consider the number of broodbitches in Australia that carry these stud dogs in their pedigree.
They can provide FLYNN with a myriad of opportunities for mating possibilities.

If we also look closely at the pedigree of FLYNN we will see he is bred along the Kinloch Brae/Collision/Bombastic Shiraz cross. ALL of these highly successful stud dogs have done extremely well when crossed with champion sire Fernando Bale.
Champion Sennachie is by Fernando Bale from a daughter of Kinloch Brae.
Champions Dyna Patty, Whiskey Riot and his brother Fernando's Riot, and WSA star Trouper Monelli, are all by Fernando Bale from a daughter of Collision.
Thus, it would make sense also for FLYNN to mate as many daughters of Fernando Bale as possible.
Worm Burner is bred along almost identical lines to Fernando Bale, so it would also follow on that Worm Burner's daughters should make ideal potential mates for FLYNN.

Kinloch Brae, too, is a dominant stud dog. He has done extremely well in Australia when mixing with bitches that carry lots of Malawi's Prince. But he also has a strong link to Banjo Boy and this is proven at Group 1 level via Group 1 placed High Eden Frost.

FLYNN brings in a DAUGHTER of Brett Lee in his direct damline and therein lies the opportunity for breeders with bitches that carry Brett Lee via a SON to mate to him.
There are so many opportunities for this to happen via the litter brothers Hallucinate (via Bartrim Bale and Bekim Bale) and Where's Pedro (and their sons), and via his sons Buck Fever, Cosmic Chief, Give Me Five, Meticulous etc etc etc. My Bro Fabio is out of a daughter of Where's Pedro. A great source of stamina,. My Bro Fabio daughters also greatly appeal for FLYNN.
The fact FLYNN has Collision in his damline also makes it almost imperative for broodbitches with Cosmic Rumble in their make-up that they should be tested with FLYNN. Cosmic Rumble's dam Spiritual Rumble is a half sister to Collision.
They have combined in the pedigree of many Group stars.
Of course, we are also able to duplicate Collision with confidence. The Group 1 winner Moreira (by Kinloch Brae from a daughter of Collision) has produced Group class offspring with a double of Collision in their pedigree.

An ideal mating possibility for FLYNN would be a female from the Fernando Bale-Chica Destacarda or Barcia Bale-Chica Destacarda litters.

We see also that FLYNN's direct damline is that of Flying Amy and Tenthill Doll ... the legends of racing. Flying Amy, of course, is the dam of high class stud dog Just The Best. It would thus be wise to mate bitches with Just The Best in their pedigree to FLYNN to reinforce this family. Just The Best and Token Prince (sire of FLYNN's 4th mother) have combined very successfully in pedigrees.

The fact FLYNN brings in a cross of Bombastic Shiraz via a DAUGHTER in his direct damline certainly makes SONS of Bombastic Shiraz like Fabregas, Spring Gun and Nitro Burst, or certainly grandsons of his sire Black Shiraz a great option for FLYNN as well.

AND, these breeding options do not touch on the influx of outcross sirelines currently emerging in Australia like those by Bella Infrared, SH Avatar etc

There are numerous options to link with FLYNN for him to become a success at stud.
