Certainly missing some involvement but not the commitment needed for training. Will think about the baby sitting option next time we are planning to hit the road. We like to spend around 6 months each year caravanning.
I retired from full-time training a few years ago and have now moved to the NSW Central Coast.
I have a lot of experience in the breeding, rearing and training of greyhounds and happy to provide advice etc to any owners or trainers that think I could be of some assistance to.
I am really keen to help out or provide some advice to any new or inexperienced participants.
Cheers, Brian

Travis, my thoughts have always been that it's all about the brood bitch and the rearing as most sires are well bred and have performed well on the track. For me you are trying to reproduce the mother and hopefully pick up a weakness of hers that could be improved on. Make sure that the sire had that trait you want and he suited her line. So for me if the mother was a quality 400m bitch then you should expect good 400m pups. So to best answer your question you need to decide what type of pup you want and source the best bitch you can in that category. She must suit your blood line and you have faith in your sire . Of course when selecting the bitch I believe she must be from a good litter and her dam line has thrown quality pups over the years. Travis after that it is the rearing that makes all the difference. Good luck and happy to chat if you like. PM me and I can give you my mobile No.
