And so is Participant welfare. Even more so. I have yet to see that, especially from GRV and the many stories I have heard about intimidation and bullying.

Always going to hear about the alleged 'intimidation and bullying' by people. Most of the time i can guarantee its from someone who won't do what GRV require. I hear nothing but good things from 99.9% of people who deal with GRV and all my own dealings with them have been fantastic and they have always been more than helpful.

Easier for people to claim victim than admit their own mistakes

in nearly 20 years of dealing with GRV we have never had one problem , (we dont race ,) we breed and rear,

all dealings with them , have been first class,

many welfare inspections have been done here with different inspectors, never had an issue with them , courteous and done their job

our latest dealing with them was yesterday in relation to rehoming two dogs through the GAP system at seymour ,

again this was done , and all paper work was provided within 12 hours ,
the rest is up to us to prepare the paperwork , and the dogs in preparation for their assessment in a few weeks ,

These comments - in defending GRV - reflect how paperwork goes back and forth. That's nice and it is what bureaucracies are supposed to do.

But what about the fanciful and repeated "overbreeding", the disappearance of dogs, short fields, tarted up kennels and dubious policies like cobalt? Added to which is the degradation of the betting sector and the accompanying case of the vanishing real punter. That is the code's future, not paperwork.

I have no comment to make about the original case which prompted this thread.

On these pages, a trainer put it better than me - they want me to set up the dogs better than I would for my kids - or words to that effect. (Ref the Pet department).
