Please send out positive thoughts and keep our industry colleagues in the Northern Rivers area of Nsw in your prayers tonight.

I believe at least one dog property may have been lost this evening, with at least a couple of others now in direct and imminent danger.

Our best wishes to all who have been affected or may be placed at risk ... and I sincerely hope we will rally around if and as needed should things not go as we all hope xo

(I understand the Laidley fires in South-East Qld are now largely back under control at this stage; here's hoping for a reprieve in that area; as it too is close to greyhound heartland)

Hey Anthony, I have just done a stint on the North Coast and may be returning soon to help with the fires. I hope everyone is OK but we can not be complacent with the fire season just kicking off. Owners of large establishments really need to have a good evacuation plan ready for large number of dogs and themselves. Stay safe everyone but please be ready. Cheers
