Adelaide Cup win was monumental. Went past Sennachie and Whiskey Riot like they were walking. Great race!

They had a match race series like the speedstar. State of Origin. SA vs VIC. Winner of the overall event got a start in the final. He ran 29.19 or similar and won the event. I think he only snuck in there too, Sennachie ran 29.20 or similar.

One of the the best runs Ive ever witnessed live. Incredible !!!! I think GRSA have worked closely with grv for a while to try to promote the feature event in SA to entice quality to APK especially now with the scheduling of the million$$ chase. To be honest very few NSW dogs ever come for the Adelaide cup

After watching the replay of this race a number of times, i honestly dont see what people are on about ? ....so he comes out moderately & he then basically gets an unchecked run & nails the leaders on the line after they come together in the home straight ....& then the time is slow for the Adelaide cup ?? ....this dog will become a bookies fav for sure ...slow/moderate beginner with a big engine whom could win like champion, coming behind or also get checked badly for nothing ...:I think hes a less tractable version of his older brother .,:;I can certainly understand the trainer/connections talking him up as hes a ready made stud dog ...

Must be watching a different race to me... Was race 8 Friday Angle Park and had Box 1 yeah?... Unchecked???... It's hard to come from behind when dogs are running fast time up front but also got checked by 2&3 before the first turn, hindered again (his own doing checking off 3 heels) thru the pen then held up by the 8 between the 600-700 boxes... Just an opinion in which I guess we will just agree to disagree... And remember his older brother PTB only got more tractable with racing... Only time will tell with this bloke but the future looks bright...

Agree with Brett...a very harsh assessment of the dog's great win
To run the time he did to run down two highly experienced Group 1 competitors I think was enormous, especially at his 7th or 8th start.
However, you have to also count that was checked twice by both the 2 and the 3 in the fun to the first turn and then checking off Sennachie's heels at the first as well, then spending time deciding whether to take the 8 on the outside or the inside before finding the energy to run home in 12.48, which is pretty much off the planet at Angle Park.
Just that pretty much speaks volumes for what this dog has to offer as he gets older.
For me, that run was equivalent to about 29.15 on the bunny..

That assessments little bit quick I thought Sandro. For mine he lost 3.5 lens in the run so approx 29.22 Whichever way you look at it, that's a very sharp run to win the Cup.

Fair enough ....I didnt think it was that bad
As for being on the bunny, Sandro that will rarely happen mate ( maybe in his age group races, match race) given his racing pattern ....If hes anyway near as good as his older brother ie huge motor, race smarts, great chase, he will be a champ & hopefully that will be the case...
Enough cant be said of the dam ...cant remember one producing the quality of pup for awhile ....

Who care what the clock says? This dog ran down 2 super animals. The last 50 metres was amazing. It was one of the great finishes in a Group 1 final.
As for the 'assesments' he ran 29.19 the previous week so my 'assesment' is 29.19 but it could be 30.50 for all I care, it was still an amazing race.

JQ Its been a long time since we seen a dog like Rapid journey and Bombastic Shiraz ......Grinders late run on dogs who can win from any position.I loved his win and credit to the Trainer for having him spot on for the final . It takes a very good dog to run down any field let alone the class of dogs he ran past says a lot about how good this dog will be if he stays sound

I agree Sandro he could be something really special ....I love his running style...Could be freakish over 600 and 700 but with his record looking as good as it gets you would maybe even look at retiring the dog and going to stud ...If he wins Top Gun and Melbourne cups he will be booked out ....
