Will Vlandy and Dumensy survive?
Ive never been able to understand why there wasnt more of an investigation into how Vlandy could state that his "mail" was that the dogs were gone weeks before any announcement was made. I doubt it was leaked from the report because there were many recommendations made. ABC showed vision of that meeting so they have the ammunition.
Dogs were once again dragged into it, is the use of horse meat widespread in greyhounds? and I thought the use of knackery meat was fraught with danger in relation to swabs

John
The whole thing stank from Day 1
This was always the 'Elephant In the Room' that was trying to be swept under the carpet
Hopefully the two horse industries will now get their act together like we have

In NSW due to the drought 95% of beef being sold is actually horse. It's not ideal but as long as they're left in a paddock for a month to get anything that can cause a positive out of their systems it's OK.
But what I don't agree with more than anything is how its being portrayed with the word slaughter. Realistically they are left in a paddock eating grass to make sure there isn't anything wrong health wise then when the time does come it's a instant death for the horses, there's no suffering involved. It's not like the horse run last yesterday so you better slaughter it.
And before anyone comments I have nothing to do with horses or knackeries, but fair's fair. Plus bringing this to a stop is only gonna drive the price of dog meat through the roof in NSW

Lets see if the NRL pull the pin on him because there are a lot of women and kids go to the games, make him stay with the gee gee's and ROT

Chief executive Peter V'landys says anyone caught sending horses to be slaughtered will be prosecuted.

well looks like half the industry could be gone then.
don't hold your breath.

Yes, allegedly the `door' or `border' was left open so that horses could be sent to Shepparton or Caboolture. It has been semantics along with `smoke and mirrors'.
Yes, Terry. He's trying to hold onto both jobs with a review after Xmas.

can you believe the hypocrisy of vlandys?
And to take one or two people that do the wrong thing and portray a whole industry like that is completely unfair and unjust.
