I think that it's a bit like Swaffham - great track, lousy location.
I hope I am proven wrong but only time will tell.

Spot on john, if it's good enough people will travel, good news for the industry.

Middle of nowhere, was never going to work
Coventry had the same issue and made gawd knows how many attempts to sustain business and failed each time, and compared to Towcester its ease of access was better!

Sorry to have to disagree with you Paul, Coventry had a great track no doubt but everything else was crap, sure the restaurant area had a panoramic view that was outstanding but the staircase was a law-suit waiting to happen. As for the great cavernous general public area, with no windows, horrible. Towcester on the other hand has 'class' in every respect. No comparison.

Hello John
The only comparison I was making was the location issue
I believe that this is crucial
Cheers

Be good to see Towcester back but the viewing is shit, on top of that the track is designed for 8 dog races so obviously when you have a 6 runner race the wide dogs run miles off at the bends, needs the running band narrowing and stick 6 dog races, both coventry and Towcester closed for there own reasons, If covenrtry sorted there problems and towecester sorted theres Coventry would be a far superior track , In my opinion.
