I would have to come down on the side of more than likely not.
Mainly because of the shortage of contestants.
Mainly because all clubs around me had to put in short course racing or have NO meeting.
I believe that the problem has been evolved from the prize money allocation. Upping the springt money and none for 480 and above.
It's not just a one reason case as you could think of many others,
Oid dogs can still compete in short course races.
