Northern tracks get no funding at all.
IT'S a difficult situation.

At one of the recent meetings it was suggested that 200K might keep a feeder track going with one night a week.
200k was pin money back in the Taggart era.
Higher turnover then than horseracing.

Hi Kieran,

I will be attending the meeting tonight in Youghal as Chairman of the IGOBF.CLG the official group, along with other members of our committee. We look forward to meeting you there.

We will also be attending a meeting in Enniscorthy on Monday night.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a chat about all issues and seeing how this issue can be addressed and reversed as this can not be allowed to happen. We need to take whatever action is needed to correct this.

Ah mr Tony Walsh the RTE superstar I've been wanting to say a few things to you for a while now just like David I think you and your sham of a group should be kept as far away from the greyhound industry as possible it's the likes of ye that are playing into the hand of the IGB and of course the antis after your little episode on RTE and sending solicitors letters to proper hard working greyhound people I'd suggest to you and you mates if you want to help out in this sorry mess is that you disband your CLG and get in behind the well supported Group or fuck off out of the greyhound industry altogether as ye have very little support in comparison to the IGOBF that is led by Damien Matthew's

The executive of the IGB have no idea how many is employed within the greyhound sector, its like the building sites years ago, full of dead men, we have listened for years that over 10,000 people are directly & indirectly employed, a total load of nonsense, this national Dysfunctional outfit are not fit for purpose any longer, they are a laughing stock for the entire Country & beyond. This Industry is now in a state of collapse, the CEO has proven to all that he does not have the proper skills to turn this Industry around, he squanders 125.000 on one report which tells us about the state of our tracks and the financial situation those tracks are in, this report should have been carried out and completed by our in house detectives and not outsourced.
We hear of employee settlements with confidentiality clauses {WHY}?
Lately a high court case against the IGB was taken, {WHY}?
there wont be a court case Just get out the cheque book and get rid of the problem typical IGB style.
IGB you are a total disgrace to all involved in greyhounds.JMHO

David, following your posting Longford have received enquiries from concerned patrons as you seem to have mixed the two separate fundraisers into one. I would like to clarify the following:
The fundraiser for Longford was run by a committee of patrons, independent from either IGOBF or track management.
To our knowledge the solicitor's letter referred to is not relevant to the Save Longford fundraiser.
Longford has not received financial assistance as a result of the Save the Tracks fundraiser.

Dave I hope you are not calling me a coward as I'm far from it so be careful what you say to me and greyhound data provide a great service to all us greyhound people and should be thanked for it and not abused as it's there for everyone.
The IGOBFhas not broadcast the total sum of money's collected from the save our tracks fundraiser because all of the nine affiliated GOBAs have been notified and of course another group had sent a solicitors letter demanding the money raised be handed over to them.
I'm very passionate about the greyhound industry and I want to see it run in the proper manner I think until the people within it are United we have no hope of succeeding as we are playing into the hands of the IGB their loving the fact that we are at logger heads every chance we get and if the two groups don't come together and fight as one well then we've done ourselves and the industry a disservice

Maurice you should read your posts before you hit the post button, what you are posting in total fabrication.
We now hear that Longford have paddled their own canoe without the help of the Sham IGOBF, stop telling lies and post the facts or dont post anything.

Dave my profession was horses not fabrication I have not said anything that I don't believe in you asked a question earlier and I forgot to answer you about the money given to the northern tracks the money is there to help the tracks and the fact that they are not supported by the IGB the help they needed at this time was with prize money so is that not deemed to be help as they are affiliated to the IGOBF
