Having met & spoken face to face with Tony in the past he came across like a decent bloke but he & the Board have shown once again how useless / pathetic they are by cancelling The Group 1 Golden Easter Egg,with numbers of Covid 19 cases continuing to fall I don't see why the race cannot go ahead behind closed doors without a crowd ,other states are holding city meetings as normal without crowds & Racing NSW are allowed to host their City & Group races at Randwick etc I don't get why we're treated so harshly , Mestrov should go back to The GC Titans IMO

Other states are furiously cutting prize money and/or deferring big races, as is RNSW; Tassie has shut down all three codes; Queensland has defensively zoned-out the whole state; while RV is still making up its mind, including on the Cox Plate.
I might take a different view to GRNSW on some items but at least Mestrov is talking plainly to the industry, as is GRSA.
I would prefer the Egg continued - on time or late - but it does not fit in well with the NSW zoning policy or interstate travel hassles. Anyway it is more important that money flows every day than that one guy ends up with $250k.

Hi Bruce , Yes I know Tassie has stopped all racing for now & prizemoney has been cut in all race codes in multi states etc but the point of my post was to state the double standard shown by grnsw coz aside from Tassie most states are having city race meetings & some Group races going ahead for example The Championships at Randwick recently , Greys : Sandown , The Meadows , Angle Park , Albion Park , Mandurah & Cannington are still racing but we get only provincial meetings in NSW , if we can't race at Wentworth Park then Richmond Friday night meetings should be given Metropolitan race status / prizemoney albeit at a reduced figure during the Pandemic , in regards to The Easter Egg it should be going ahead IMO & multiple people miss out on the prizemoney up for grabs from heats etc as well as a chance to get to the final ,NSW participants like me are still waiting on a straight track which was promised over 2 years ago & Appin is a no brainer choice but the clowns at grnsw are doing everything possible to drive people out of the industry , most states have a straight track for racing except NSW which is pathetic , GRNSW = Useless
