Great initiative again by the GRV in trialing Saturday morning race cards which will run shoulder to shoulder with the harness code.

Agree- only reason we have the best racing and prizemoney in the world are racing contributions from totaliser / corporates and initiatives . Not sure this will work or not but no harm in giving it a month trial , evaluate pool size and more importantly fixed odds betting as pool sizes these days cant cope with serious punters

The wheels turn slowly, my understanding is that it was mooted at ballarat some six years ago.

Wangaratta used to race Morning slot and it had one of the best Brekkies around ...Nothing new here..only a rehashed format some 15 years after Wang

now over sea's betting is more current in 2020 so it should be a huge hit with our American Irish english friends

Lets not forget that it wasnt too long ago that the front page of this forum was filled with threads related to the dire shortage of dogs to fill meetings. And now we have extra meetings and stake money at lower end to boot
