This is a fairly new Facebook page started in June. Since Grey2K is worldwide I figured this FB might as well be. Like it, share it and spread the word.

The biggest thing Grey2K and any anti-organization has against them is the truth.

If you look in the Greyhound Chronicles link in the first post you will see a new entry about the greyhound named Fever. I posted something about fever here on G-D. Grey2K used the picture of Fever on a petition about greyhound racing in Ireland.

Posting Grey2k links whether you are for or opposed is the air they breathe.

Please don't repost or respond to anti-racing advocates is the appropriate measure. Starve them of oxygen, this is their bread and butter. And you're falling into their game play.

Grey 2k is yesterday. Leave them be and get on with what matters... your dogs, your future, your family. Anything but these creeps. They are truly irrelevant unless you give them credence. Another way to put it is 'stop feeding the trolls'.

The fact that this FB site exists gives air to G2K. It validates their existence which is sad.

We already tried letting them be and that didn't work so well, but I will let the people in other countries do as they see fit and won't post anymore about this group.

Please continue to post into the forum .

The difference with Aust and the USA is that we have thousends of Owners Trainers and Breeders ..Hobby trainers scattered all over Aust we dont rely on the PROS .The USA stuffed its own industry from within .

We own a lot of our tracks or we have long term lease agreements in place any person with a trainers licence can race at any track in Aust and NZ

The USA took away this right for all to train and only allowed Kennels on course to race Greyhounds and all this did was line the pockets of the PRO'S but it stuffed your own smaller OTB ..

The American Greyhound industry has not even purchased its own land to build a track so there is no future in the USA for Greyhound racing ..

GREY2K got a shit load of press because you Guys didn't have any numbers to fight the lies ..Australia and NZ has Thousands of OTB

With all due respect ignoring anti groups is not on anymore.They have enormous wealth from donations.

Jason is right and Kevin makes some valid points also. There is no value in trying to compete directly with these people. Their MO is to use their passion to adopt any means to combat racing (of any kind). You will never change that attitude - only they can do it themselves if they find a more convincing reason - and that will be rare.

Even owning a greyhound (and quite a lot of antis do) is not enough as they then move on to racing and gambling without considering that income is why the greyhound gets better attention than most other dog breeds. Family pooches often get a terrible life by comparison.

Far better to improve and widen the view of the general public to the greyhound breed and to greyhound racing - in that order. Currently, too many people hate it without really understanding what it is all about. So, invite them in. Show them. Educate them. Let them learn of the breed's history. Let them become just another part of everyday life. GAP programs are a start but only a start.
