He deserves his own thread especially after last nights performance around Sandown Park in 29.949.

Box 1 ---> EXTERNAL LINK

Pedigree ---> CLICK HERE

He's also is a two-times track record holder at Ballarat 24.75 & at Bendigo 23.35.

Interesting to note how strong his X DNA is in...
Shimaguni
4x4 Famous Portrait
Then a follow up of
3x3 Gold Rush Bale
gives us
Shima Shine

I think this dog will throw well to any strong X DNA line regardless of the Y influence the X DNA holds the key to many great sires of today IMO

Any brood also carrying a great 2x3 3x3 or 4x4 or 5x3 of any great X DNA line will throw super into this kind of sire IMO.

Looked like a Lear Jet- I know he missed Fernandos 4.90 record but Ive never seen a dog look so explosive and powerful visually to the first mark. Clearly is size and galloping style adds to the spectacul.

Breeders must be frothing at the mouth I know I am, such a plethora of quality BB sons on offer then youve got STH and SS looming over them as well. Both those dogs are just outright superstars SS just needs to claim that big race to catch up with STH but geez his pedigree with that dam line is mouth watering will be some Melbourne cup

Thats starting to look like good value considering the rapid rise in price of some other lesser performed stud dogs recently

To run the times he has, does he really need a Group 1 race on his CV

His mother is a Group winner, comes from one of the most prolific producers of Group Class greyhounds in the last 20 years

There is no reason for him not to be successful at stud

I just hope they keep his price reasonable and don;t get on the bandwagon that the others are on

After all, frozen semen was supposed to keep stud fees at a reasonable level

Yes indeed he broke his "hoodoo". Beat the elite fair & square last night. But saying that I wish I could have a K9 good enough to run last in a Top Gun !

Hi. Just asking a question as you seem really knowledgeable in bloodline.
I have a 16 month bitch in England, that will be a brood bitch in time. How do I go about picking the right stud when looking at lines? How you you learn about the cross and. X and y 3x3 etc. Here name is Ballycoe candy, her grandmother fear emoski is a super dam. Any help you could give is much appreciated. I was thinking about areo majestic or Ballymac best which throw the fasted dog in the world called pestana in Ireland . Also I think the Australian dog trendy Leigh could be a good option as a full brother to Brett lee .
Sorry for the long message

Hi Matthew, welcome to the forum. We might have to get an admin to move your request to a new page or you can create a new topic for your future brood options as not to take away from Shima Shine.

Click on breeding page of forum- then go to rhs and click new topic- create title you could copy paste question again. Someone will put your pedigree up and go from there. cheers mate

This Warragul Cup field is super hot with many chances. The box draw could determine the winner I reckon.

Shima shine is an incredible speed dog as he has produced brilliant times across many tracks, perhaps the quickest Ive seen when he is on. He is however imo very suspect with dogs crowding him on the outside and looks to throw it in when things dont pan out with his much needed space.
His record from the pink speaks for itself with 8 wins from 10 starts,. I have no doubt that some of his private trial times would be even more completely sound breaking, but a dog without field brilliance is the main reason he wont get the same attention at stud the top few and also the main reason he will finish up on 500-650k in Prizemoney and not $1m -1.3m. Brilliant dog but last night was just about lay of the year.

Same stud master as Konomi. But I'm pretty sure there won't be any straws for another month or so. Last I heard they were hoping to draw some straws before his Easter egg campaign

Smashed Orson Allen's track record (26.87) last week by over a length running 26.79 in the heats of the Horsham Cup box 2 ---> EXTERNAL LINK

And then slaughtered a top field in the final box 7 ---> EXTERNAL LINK

Absolute jet when he gets the chance to wind up.

52 starts - 32 wins.....Seems to be getting better with age.
