Going to be interesting Mitchell. Pestana went quickest to the 3rd bend in 17.01. But, good judges think Taylor can go sub 17. If they both come out humming will be interesting indeed!

Thats also going to be much harder being outside the PEST lol. Hence why i previously asked about box seeding. If he cant get over early its a virtual impossible task.

Thanks for that Darren,i did some research on some of his progeny & from what i could see, they seem to be better if left to educate at around the 18 mth mark, given these dont start their racing careers until about 22 mths old,but as we know, this can vary due to mental & physical development & maturity.
The reason for my intrest is because,a mate & i recently bought a Dog from the Shake My World litter,& geez even though only 4 mths old,he is a lovely, leggy & well put together pup,i just thought that that the influence of Just The Best, though Elite State, also the Bombastic Shiraz influence in the dams damline, should hopefully produce a nice litter, given both of the sire lines throgh Shake My World's damline, has worked previously with Ballymac Vic.
I would be intrested on any of you're & others thoughts re this mating.

Fair enough Daryl. You have a proven cross there...so you might be on a winner...

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Pestana breaks the clock tomorrow night as the track is running extremely fast at the moment !!

Agree Louise...the 29 sec mark is under threat! Glengar Bale went 16.93 to the 3rd bend and Pestana already has a 17.01. Two serious machines!

We both were haha....in 28.99 (16.83 to 3rd bend). First greyhound to ever break 29 for 550y! Didnt he launch from traps. Credit to Newinn Taylor, some back straight pace!
PestAna is a class act, and to think only a few ago, the general public were debating if he could stay the extra 25 yards, well hes put that to bed.
He does face a very tricky draw next week however, mind you, look at any past derby winner, to win they had to face tough draws etc and managed to just find a way through.
Best of luck to all,

Highlights of R3
Newinn Taylor goes 16.79 to the 3rd bend in an electrifying 29.11 FTON Pestana yet again the one to beat in the Derby with a superb 29.15
Both freakishly fast early paced greyhounds, who are a pleasure to watch!
