I brought in a brood a few years back. Youre looking at around 10K in import expenses on top of the purchase price. Plus a 6-12 month quarantine period.

Youd be better off just purchasing and having it broken in over there....albeit to the outside lure. But, Newmore King, Old Berry Hermes came out here and transitioned. And a few modern day ones too. That way you see whether its worth the extra expense first...

Bugger me...10k to import, then up to 12 mths quarintine,mmm..probably not the way to go then,as you say,(& i was thinking that too),it would be far better to buy,but leave it there to be reared & raced,it is ashame though that unless you have a group dog,you race for the love of it really.
Thanks for that info Darren.
