This young son of MEPUNGA BLAZER deserves his own thread.

12 starts for 12 wins anywhere is an outstanding achievement.

he trialed at the Meadows yesterday....and first look went 29.52 !!

He's going places this boy.

He's a seriously fast dog.

At just 2 years of age, he has a long way to go but can gallop....just like a great from his damline namely "THUNDER LANE".

Good luck to all concerned.

Ken do you mean 2 looks at The Meadows?
If that's so I do apologise......as I was going off a report on Sky Channel which stated it was his first look.

Not getting much interest at stud by the looks of it. But, looks big to Fernando Bale broods and noticed Group 1 breeder Carolyn Jones has done this in VIC - https:/ CLICK HERE

Quite like him for a brood or 2 of ours as well. Hope he gets some more interest. Some of his runs and times were exceptional!

You would want a ferocious chasing brood. Didn't like the way he leaned on the inside dog and wouldn't pass it in his two Melbourne starts. Incredibly fast animal though.

Some merit in that. But, most look best from the front. Especially at the elite level.

Spitfire on fire in the Maiden heats at Cannington tonight! With Sneaky Emoji the fastest heat winner so far in 29.82.

The more sires used the better IMO!

This young sire has two Perth Cup finalists from his first crop of 3 bitches whelped between Dec 21 and Mar 22

Sunset Frazier - 29.65

https:/ CLICK HERE
Sneaky Emoji - 29.76

https:/ CLICK HERE

He has only had 7 litters on the ground and one bitch served in Jan 2024

6 of these bitches belong to David Hobby, who is reaping the rewards of backing his own dog.

in 2024, $205k in prizemoney this year so far and a 30% win strike rate

With the same damline as the popular Tommy Shelby and the great Jungle Deuce you would think he would get a lot more attention

Yep and with Barcia Bale further removed, some outcross there as well. A lot to like about him.

No its not , Sunset spitfire won one group 3 race and never ran a place when he tried in Melbourne?

No one has an issue using Tommy ! He did the hard yards all over , Poeple respect a tried and true good dog , very simple really , lose the dummy !

Tommy is by a champion race dog and sire the other is by Mepunga blazer ??? Is there even a comparison ?

Good luck to owner and sire 100% , just giving obvious answers to questionable queries.

Hi Sunset Spitfire had injuries at young age that stopped him from racing. on the occassion he raced against Tommy he beat him. He was a very quick dog and in Melb he trialled very quick getting ready for the races he was going for. if he had as many girls gone to him as Tommy had he also probably would have same success. was fast dog but not as well known.
