Can I emphasise that this exercise is being conducted by the Qld government Planning office, not by RQ or Queensland Greyhounds. The latter may have their name on much of the paperwork but comments must go to the bureaucrats in the Planning office (using the GBGC title). I have not a great deal of confidence in the RQ expertise in track design in view of the errors in Ipswich and Albion tracks but I would have none in what a government department does. No doubt this is why detailed track info is absent. Note that ..... The straight track appears to be only 350m - which is manageable but short of ideal. The one turn track has one conventional start and one on a bend - neither distance shown. The two turn track shows five starts, three of which are on a bend and no distances shown. No other dimensions are illustrated which means they are deliberately excluding them from the info offered to the public. Cambers, radii, transitions and actual box locations are obviously missing. Clearly, a design firm would have prepared much more detailed plans but we are not allowed to see them. I responded long ago but got nothing back except for an acknowledgement. I recall that similar problems occurred with previous drafts of proposed tracks at Deagon and Logan - both since dumped. Perhaps the same designer has been employed?
