Once again, I ask the question. How the hell do you turn a live baiting episode, into a discussion about FOL? As if to say the trainer had no choice but to live bait? Bloody ridiculous argument! This guy is the best and most successful trainer in SA! Not one of the dogs in his kennel would have a problem chasing. If they did, they would be sent back to the owner.
If I'm an outsider reading this thread, I would think you are excusing his actions.
I don't think he deserves prison. Life ban yes. His name will be tainted forever and unfortunately his son who is just starting out, will cop that too. That's punishment enough.
They would want to have good evidence on him, if they can't prove it. I hope he takes them to the cleaners. Give the bloke his chance to tell his story instead of getting on here and bashing the bloke up.

from what i hear he is guilty so i hope all his supporters will say i was wrong if he is that is what they are saying to everyone that thinks he is guilty, i hope it is all a mistake but if not life and jail because he doesnt care about any one but himself.

Unfortunately a true reflection of the some of the participants in the industry.
I will say what a lot of people are thinking. The majority of people defending the person under investigation are also the ones who have been caught out themselves by the authorities and have an axe to grind.

On this first page of posts there are 3 threads talking up Tommy Shelby, De Ferran and She's a Pearl, all positive all started by me. There is 1 started by me talking about the abhorrent accusations of Live Baiting and in the initial post I state "If found guilty".
I try to be positive, but when people come here mouthing off how others should be spending more time on their dogs rather than commenting. Then we find out those very same people have been caught out as drug cheats themselves recently, obviously not practising what they preach. I'll call it out.
