Now I know statistics can be interpreted anyway someone wants them to be, but I'm just putting the following stats out there for nothing more than discussion - if anyone wants to do so.
I make little comment on the results of the stats, nor have I produced them here to either praise or discredit any sire. They just are what they are.
I compiled the stats earlier this week from the Greyhound Recorder's website, and they relate to the top 25 sires (by way of prize money won) Australia-wide.
Average Prize Money per Individual Dog and Starts (Australia Wide) by the Following Sires in order of total prize money won.
I've done similar figures based purely on metropolitan earnings and I'm really surprised how far down the list one particular dog is sitting, relative to his superstar status.

I've been following the Greyhound Recorder Stats for decades. When they first start the super sires are 30%+ the great future sires are 20-25%+, the excellent are 20-25%, the solid are 15-20%. So using that criteria, Feral Franky, Sennachie, Good Odds Harada, Konomi and Whisky Riot have bright futures. Also means Benali was a terrible loss to the stud ranks.

Sadly, any dollar figures will be distorted by inflation and the prize money policies adopted by various clubs and states. Some more recent changes have been very big.
The only option is to use a deflator from a consistent source every year, starting from an agreed base (year), but it needs a lot of work to keep up to date.
If you filter that list by sires that have over 100 runners so far this year
It shows how many sires that usually not considered by most breeders punching well above their weight and a few heavyweights looking like underweights
There are 37 sires with over 100 runners
(I pick 100 runners so the figures are somewhat meaningful)

Aston Dee Bee $9,415,927 943 $9,985.08 Fernando Bale $21,561,287 2506 $8,603.87 Feral Franky $1,030,528 122 $8,446.95 Aussie Infrared $2,281,146 273 $8,355.85 Aston Kimetto $991,158 126 $7,866.33 Beast Unleashed $783,908 106 $7,395.36 Allen Deed $1,120,126 156 $7,180.29 Zipping Garth $1,961,820 274 $7,159.93 Raw Ability $1,002,255 141 $7,108.19 Barcia Bale $10,440,006 1489 $7,011.42 Dyna Villa $1,251,938 183 $6,841.19 Orson Allen $2,879,315 424 $6,790.84 Collision $1,563,587 232 $6,739.60 Keybow $1,587,525 237 $6,698.42 My Redeemer $3,890,726 583 $6,673.63 Spring Gun $1,406,501 213 $6,603.29 Zambora Brockie $4,177,348 703 $5,942.17 Kinloch Brae $2,057,742 353 $5,829.30 My Bro Fabio $2,424,851 463 $5,237.26 Mepunga Blazer $3,085,159 608 $5,074.27 Walk Hard $573,633 114 $5,031.87 Sh Avatar $820,658 164 $5,004.01 Bernardo $1,031,586 213 $4,843.13 Unlawful Entry $643,490 134 $4,802.16 Worm Burner $1,342,858 283 $4,745.08 Ritza Lenny $676,170 143 $4,728.46 Fabregas $2,641,491 562 $4,700.16 Oaks Road $464,043 100 $4,640.43 Ando's Mac $585,543 127 $4,610.57 Dyna Double One $2,289,656 501 $4,570.17 Magic Sprite $1,356,221 304 $4,461.25 Blazin' Bomber $506,005 118 $4,288.18 Cosmic Rumble $1,468,373 349 $4,207.37 Moreira $946,763 229 $4,134.34 Sennachie $590,170 145 $4,070.14 Banjo Boy $688,440 202 $3,408.12 El Grand Senor $346,268 110 $3,147.89
The newer kids on the block like Aussie Infrared, Beast Unleashed, Aston Kimetto and Feral Franky are really making their mark base don that analysis
Fernando is right up there and staggering considering the numbers that is average is so high
Aston Dee Bee is the daddy of them all and his average is greater than Fernando by approx $1,300 per runner with 927 progeny and seems to justify the reason why he is in such high demand

Zipping Garth keeps pumping out winners and at $2200 is good value !
Aussie Infrareds first pups were whelped Jan 2018 hardly a new kid on the block !

Aussie Infrared only got a couple of bitches a month for the first couple of years. His second and more substantial crop came from how good the early litters went. It's probably fair to compare him to the younger sires listed.

I hate to bore you all into unconsciousness with more stats, but I've paid attention to what each of you has written, and I've produced a listing of sires' progeny (based on metro earnings) in line with Sandro's earlier reference to needing 100 individual pups to show a true picture of a sire's relative performance.
He is going really well but I'd imagine She's a Pearl would have greatly improved the prizemoney statistics for Aston Dee Bee.
Aston Dee Bee is the daddy of them all and his average is greater than Fernando by approx $1,300 per runner with 927 progeny and seems to justify the reason why he is in such high demand
Even if you took the $1 million off his total progeny earnings that would equate to $1,078 per dog (i.e. $1m divided by 927)
He is still over $200 per dog higher in averages per dog than Fernando Bale
A pretty classy sire in my book....its a shame he is only available for limited services
