Following the deferral of a meeting (until next tuesday) at which the anti racing groups, their USA advisors and some animal charities were expecting an influential Scottish government committee to recommend a phase out of dog racing in Scotland the Times and Sunday Times ran a poll to gauge public opinion on the matter.
A resounding no to the ban was the result and a surprisingly low number of voters from the anti side in spite of calls to vote.
Yes 13.4% No 86.6% 3,470 votes
