Mark, I dont agree he was in her way, certainly in the ridiculous context dicks is suggesting but theyre not machines and both bitches have had phenomenal careers.
Certainly nearer the end than the beginning.
Im sure sire choices have already been discussed and thatll be very interesting to watch unfold.

You can spin it any way you like. Fact is I was concerned he would be a speed bump (my exact words) for good dogs and so it proved to be. Congrats on this litter Darren, you have certainly upgraded the bitch. A sure sign of a great sire choice and pedigree mix.

She's A Pearl and Wow She's Fast still have plenty of more wins in them and are trained by the best of them.

All good.

He did get in the way of the great bitch She's A Pearl on the rail, but he was entitled to be there as well. Also, the great bitch was inconvenienced by another runner on the outside of her on the first turn. She's been up a long time, but enjoys racing and never led this time.

On a side note, the other great bitch in Victoria, Wow She's Fast has been beaten since she won the big one down there and was scratched from a match race last month or month before.

They aren't machines, even Amron Boy finished out of a place in a hot FFA at The Meadows on Saturday night

Exactly, Sandro, yet some feel the need to insult other dogs when the superstars have an off day or average result.
As I said, nobody would ever compare our dog to Shes A Pearl, hes a fantastic, honest little chaser and shes a mega star, but to say he was a speed hump who got in her way is as dumb an assessment of a race thatd anyone could ever come up with.
To be expected though.

Maybe D Heward & G Jackson could offer a free service to HF. After all he has a victory over them.

Sandro,
No one said they were. In fact, that was my point. Seconds and Thirds are not failures either.

Amron Boy is a brilliant dog, but like most dogs / bitches coming from behind they need some luck. You would love a Fernando Mick in your kennels or the winner Race 8 / Number 6 Mepunga he left Amron Boy down the back - stuck on the rail.

I didn't say anyone said they were machines

Just merely repeating a known phrase

I didn't say 2nds and 3rd were failures either

We seem to be in agreeance, so not sure what the issue is

Box 2. Monelli dog to pinch the lead and there's a mix up behind it imo

Elite Alex will have to ping and lead from box 8 and I'm not sure that will happen, but I'll be barracking for him.

baby jaycee will be very hard to beat and it would be hard to find a more deserving trainer than bob douglas.

his training abilities are equalled by his contribution to the industry over a number of years

It's not a stellar final this year. Great dogs one and all, but not a classic GEE. I'd like to see Bernado get a big Group 1 winner.
