Emailing people like Wilkie and the Animal Justice Party is a complete waste of time.
Emailing every other member of Parliament however, is the way to go.

Here's one I fired off to my local state member Roma Britnell today.
She is always quick to respond too.

Hi Roma.

I am a resident of Warrnambool and a registered public greyhound trainer.
I currently have 3 racing greyhounds. It has been a passion of mine since 2013 when I trained my first greyhound and actually the passion goes back to 1982 when I first went to the races at Wannon Park with my Father, as an 11yo.

I notice that once again, the sport that I love is going to come under attack in Parliament. And once again, this attack will come from the ultra left, with backing from the ABC and a group called The Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds.
Both the ABC and the CPG have a history of publishing false statistics, without ever being called out for their lies. For example, the CPG state that there are 16,000 injuries every year in greyhound racing. What they never say is that these injuries are diagnosed by on-track veterinarians, whose job is to decide how many days the greyhound cannot race for. Therefore, the vet will always err on the side of caution. Over 95% of these injuries are very minor and the dogs are back racing within 7 days. It is very rare for a dog to be given more than a month away from racing.
This group also highly inflates euthanasia rates to fit their own agenda, they publish outrageous lies about trainers treating their dogs poorly, keeping them locked up and forcing them to race. This just defies logic. A poorly treated animal will not win races.
The truth is, a racing greyhound is the healthiest, fittest and happiest breed of dog in Australia. They are the only breed of dog that get to express what they are specifically bred and born to do. You could argue that a Kelpie or Border Collie also does that, but as far as nutrition and living environment goes, the racing greyhound wins hands down.

The point of my email Roma, is to let you know that we are absolutely sick to death of being targeted by the ultra left. Greyhound racing is a legal entity that generates huge turnovers, provides thousands of jobs and also boosts the economy through all the associated industries that we need to keep our beloved dogs racing.
When this proposed ban by the Animal Justice Party MP fails, I would like to see a counter proposal that keeps greyhound racing off limits to any further discussion of shutting down. We are unfairly targeted using horrible smear campaigns and false statistics.
I would also like to see the CPG deregistered as a charity, as they are only a political arm who does no charitable works whatsoever.
And lastly, I would like to see all claims by the AJP fact-checked and their lies called out publicly.

Our dogs are our life. If any other community was attacked like we are, it would be labelled as hate speech.

I hope you understand Roma. Thank you for your time

Enough fellas-Time to appreciate that we all have the same goal.

Yaakov your idea is good & just maybe it will be the catalyst needed to bring about some defensive action from our governing bodies & groups representing owner & trainers.

Peter you have your own way of tackling the issue & everything helps.

We really do need to expose the anti's for the liars they are & thereby take away any credibility they falsey claim so the public can see them for what they are.

Yaakov you say that writing to MPs is OLD HAT??
So who will lead the way and get this message you wrote to your MP, broaden its content with more detail and put the Truth in front of the MPs who will vote on Greyhound Ban Legislation??
Putting a Candidate in Parliament to support Racing is a pipe dream that is not likely to happen in the short term.
It will be one voice, The facts need to be placed in the hands of the MPs who are to vote on Legislation.

Activists are all mad right? We know that. They are loonies, radicals, brainwashed and every other label you want to give them.
I mean, here in Warrnambool we have a couple of climate activists who stand on Raglan Parade every Friday arvo from 4pm-5pm, with signs declaring that we are in a climate emergency and the planet is melting. At the same time they are wearing jackets, beanies and gloves because it's bloody freezing!
This is who we are dealing with. You can smack them around the chops with the truth, but they will never see it because they are emotionally invested in what they have been conditioned to believe. To walk away from it hurts, because your conscience will continually remind you of all the stupid things you said.
Having said that, we are no longer in a position to sit down with our mates over a pint and laugh at them, believing that no-one will ever fall for their garbage. Because people do fall for their garbage. People who have no other social networks, people who are struggling to find their identity or the meaning of life. Once you get a sense of belonging, you grow and you become bold, even to the point of being radical. And that is why we have activists. Not because they are passionate about what they think they believe, but because humans need community, we need to belong.
So these radicals who refuse to see the truth, will spend hours and hours on social media, generating images and slogans and appearing to be passionate and heroic, and getting followers who look up to them, just as they once looked up to some other passionate and heroic idiot. Pretty soon there are little groups formed, strength in numbers, extra boldness, etc. And then someone decides to start a political party, such as the Animal Justice Party. All the while, we have another pint and continue laughing at them.
Fast forward a few elections and what started as a bit of a joke now has 2 senators in Parliament. And we still laugh and say 'ah, them lefties are all idiots'
Ok. We know they are idiots. We've all seen the proof of that. But now they are idiots in positions of power. We all saw what Baird was willing do to get his hands on Wentworth Park. Imagine a Liberal working together with a Green! It will happen again don't you worry. When the Government of the day needs one more cross-bencher to get a piece of legislation through, don't think for a second that they won't invite the AJP into the office and ask the question 'what can we do to secure your vote?'
I hate politics. But I simply cannot just sit back and shake my head at the passionate idiot activists anymore and pretend that they are not influencing the next generation of passionate idiots, because that is their strategy and their strategy is working. Do we even have a strategy? Or are we putting our trust in politicians to defend us. Huge mistake friends.
Is the Australian Racing Party the answer?
Well, if everyone realizes that our very existence is constantly under attack by a clever, scheming, organized, influencial, passionate enemy who will never stop, then yes it is. And we all need to support it.
Just imagine the Government of the day needs one cross-bencher to get a piece of legislation through and he invites the ARP senator into the office and says 'what can we do to secure your vote?'
I don't know who is running it, or who is behind it. or who is going to represent it, but I do know that the Australian Racing Party is what we need.

One greyhound was scratched by the on course veterinarian prior to kenneling.

Scotland one hobby track,
Wales one official track,
USA 2 official tracks,

Antis " bustin a gut " to try and get a political ban imposed but will meeet significant resistance.
General public truthfully not overly interested either way.

New Zealand joins the list.

USA Politicians visited the kennels in West Virginia and this was a significant move.

What he needs to be is tough and relentless to combat the anti plague

The NZ Greyhound Industry needs to get its act together fast and get the support of the Horse Racing lobby,

If Labor get into power, with the power vote of The Greens there, then there they are finished

Of course, that article tells lies, as if no racehorses die in NZ from on track injuries, FFS they are the masters of hurdle and steeplechase racing in this part of the world

She knows she can't beat the horse lobby or she will lose support, so she is crawling right up their arses

But once they get rid of greyhounds then they are next on the agenda, believe me, they won't stop at greyhounds

Its the biggest load of bullshit being spun there by that Labor/Greenie leftist no hoper

I'd ask all within the sport to be careful with reducing the anti animal racing problem to single political parties. That may be true for one country, but fail the next and as such help those liars to find a loop hole for their world wide agenda.

The up to now most rigid breeding restrictions in Germany i.e. come from a conservative agriculture minister, coming into force now under the new government, not those who adopted it.
