As a person who has seen tracks all over Aus and the world. I would say by far the Grafton track would be the best and safest track in Australia. Big statement but tell me a better track..

Gosford

All distances for starters , not just 350 /450 and then distance boxes used twice a year ??A surface thats second to none and doesnt vary 5/10s pending on how water is soaked into the track from trial day to race day !

Explain how a dog runs 20.60 trial day over 350 there and then comes out and goes 20.10

Be lucky to be 5 dogs a meeting that rail ? Arm to long

Please . If theres a new track being built gosford is the one to replicate and get full usage for all types of dogs , it aint Grafton

Ps . Even maitland tops Grafton , atleast their distance boxes get used half the year
They are crying out for a 2 turn track like Gosford up there

Your all over it Nathan agree 100% there is a few racers that love the rail up there I own one but the inside was to wet for a long time but that seems to be fixed now and with gosford only thing is the 388 boxs I think would be better proposed to be straight off the corner giving u bigger straight down the back. Jack question have you been to the track at Grafton?

Hi Jack Not here anymore but Gold Coast and Toowoomba were a much better one turn track than Grafton, Agree with Nathan Northern Rivers Crying out for a High class 2 Turn Track in the area. As for Grafton Track agree something is amiss with how the dogs handle the bend leading into the home straight .

There is no camber on the bend or not much ...mostly, i am reliably told because of the location of the too long a distance 600 boxes so not able to have dogs jumping onto the camber .

Grafton is a great 1 turn safe track ..BUT its not great for educating pretrainers as the lure is silent and young dogs can get lost there and turn back easily ...i educate all mine initially at Casino which is quite good for that purpose ...but imho opinion not fit for purpose to race 8 dogs on a continuous bend start etc .

Your right we are crying out for a good two turn track ...i cant understand why GWIC who are all about safety blah blah still condone Casino ..and why there has been no move to join forces with Lismore and build a state of the art two turn track ...its seems like there is enough land at Casino for this maybe ? but you have rival factions Gbota etc etc or whatever it is thats holding us back ???

An wise old trainer once told me that a good track is one that you win on.

However, I have been to a few tracks and by far the best and safest is Cessnock.

I haven't been to Horsham, Warragul and Tralalgon (excuse my spelling if wrong) but they look mighty good tracks. I can't remember if it's Rockhampton, Townsville or both, but they look okay to race your dog around too. There are a few more that look good too, such as Wauchope, Dubbo and Murray Bridge.

Grafton is good. A local told me that the straights are only 80m long there.

Grafton straights look longer than 80 meters that track looks good to me from the 450 the 350 well you would have trouble at any track with hardly any run up to the first turn the track looks ok .

Correct mark it is an ok track , but that point of view wasnt the topic starter ? It was stated as being the best and safest track in Australia

Two entirely different views

Without racing or trialing and having personal experience there its probably not a topic someone could comment on from simply watching it on tab

If you have you wouldnt just stop at the pieces Ive picked it apart at , kennel block is also a complete joke without getting into it .
