Does anyone know a good overall and run home times for the tap run at Wenty for a 16 month old pup, first time there. Plus a good run from that.

You let them go on the corner before the catching pen. There is a tap just inside the track. I think you get an overall time from the 700 boxes and a run home time. Plenty of trainers use this apparently

Thanks for that.

Been there a 1000 times but never noticed it, but I'm not a trainer.

Can't Catch Ivy went 15.7, then 15.6 after break in, won 2 @ Wenty over 520m

2nd split 11.66 & 11.58

Boa Vista went 15.47 first look at 15m old, ended up a short courser

She went 11.68 2nd split

Another city winning dog we owned back in 2013 called Massive Merv, went 15.30 first look, ran home 11.41

The 2nd split is important , if you can break 11.6 first go then its decent, but will depend on fitness etc

I had one go first look 15.06, was told Zipping Truvy 15.00 and Get It Gizmo 15.11.

My bloke at 16 months trialed Warragul 22.56 after the last. When the FFA was won in 22.65 BON. Tragically my fastest break in never made the racetrack.

So the closer to 15.00 the better.
