You can laugh Dan, are you really aware of the grandiose plans of the Gold Coast Club? You won't have any track within cooee of the northside.
7 day a week racing on -
1. A replica of the Parklands track; 2. A replica of the Albion Park track; 3. A replica of the Capalaba straight track.
ALL BRISBANE RACING TO BE CONDUCTED ON A RENTED PREMISES THAT WILL HAVE $10 MILLION OF OUR INDUSTRY'S MONEY POURED INTO.

So Sue, tell me what the go is if another club forms in the future and wants a licence to race. Under the current directive there will never ever be another. From 7000 participants to 800 in your back yard. Yes that is the future, lmfao.

No need for another club with the Gold Coast having 3 tracks and racing 7 days a week, as long as we satisfy the Unitab agreement.
Not really any need for licencees either, a couple of hand picked contract trainers will suffice, maybe a couple of hand picked puppy farmers, no need for breeders in Qld anymore.
I recall the same thing being bandied around about 15 or so years ago but that was the GRA putting it forward then, no need for them to go down that path again, it's being done for them and this time they won't get the blame.

With the Gold Coast having 3 tracks and racing 7 days a week, where does that leave the Brisbane and Ipswich clubs. Or will more tab dates be put inplace, getting past dates that were lost would be difficult.

Sue the amount of participants i have spoken to lately are not for it, funny that most are from that area. What they all want is a new direction, a new board. The 10 mil has not been handed over and will not be going toward this Cronulla Park scam.

The truth is that at this stage Cronulla Park is still going ahead and the $10 million will be transferred to GQL provided the second lot of EPA tests come back okay and they are not due until June.
Spreading unfounded rumours will not change the facts.

Dan if it's not an unfounded rumour you should have no problem telling us the source of your information, if not it is a rumour.

Was driving past the Cronulla Park site this morning and lo and behold there were the Engineers with their equipment and a big drilling machine working on the EPA report?
Not rumour, fact seen with my own eyes.
Now why would they be continuing with the EPA report if Logan wasn't going ahead Dan?

Why wouldnt you then call in and ask the people who actually are there doing the work how things are? At worst they can only tell you to get lost or they might even say things are not looking good. That will be from the horses mouth.

They were Engineers taking samples, not testing them. That would be a bit like asking the Vet taking your swab if he thought it looked like a positive.

Watching Albion Park tonight it seems they dont have many races with reserves, and a lot going around with scratching. The had better get a finger out quickly or no dogs left to race up there.

Patricia I suggest you take a closer look at the fields. All races had 2 reserves drawn. Yes there were some scratchings....but 5 races had a full field of starters. Race 10 had a late scratching but originally had a full field. There obviously are reasons why connections scratch a dog from a meeting..sick, injured etc What has it got to do with the state of QLD racing that dogs are scratched for legitimate reasons??

It's got everything to do with the state of racing in QLD.......considering the so called Board allows racing to continue at the Albion GOAT track.
EXTERNAL LINK Another one bites the dust.....no doubt he never made it into the official injury count either!!!!!
