It's time to break the chain.

Cory will also be thereabouts.

Nothing personal Kev but Who cares.

The 2 major party's have pulled our industry apart step by step over the last 8 years.

We've gone nowhere but down & I can't see UP on the horizon.

Their out 'n' out lies & bulldust have gone on for far to long.

Just listen to their promises over the coming weeks, as an election is looming. It'll be just another smokescreen as per USUAL to gain votes.

I'm not prepared to give them my vote for another term of power, after witnessing the damage FROM BOTH PARTY'S, first hand.

I'd rather give my vote to another party and chance something MAY happen with them, then follow this path of destruction.

The REP Party slogan...

We entrust the knife to pierce our back
We entrust the trust to be dressed in black
We bend over for no-one unless of course
It's the man with the pineapple riding a horse

Kev show me one party who has policies on greyhounds???

Party leader Pauline Hanson said Ms Millers stellar performance in her electorate had led the party to stay clear of Bundamba at the upcoming poll, among other reasons.

Unlike so many others within the Labor Party, Jo-Ann has always taken the time to include me and my office on issues that matter to both her electorate and the state, Senator Hanson said.

Ms Miller has always kept me informed on the black lung inquiry she has held, and we share an equal interest in ensuring the longevity of the greyhounds in Ipswich and across the state of Queensland.

Senator Hanson has admired the way Ms Miller has represented her constituents at estimates hearings in Parliament. Both women are known for their feisty approach.

Perhaps its an Ipswich thing, Ms Hanson said

Removal of greyhound marking up from the requirements for
naming applications
20 September 2017
The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (the Commission) has decided to remove the requirement to
have a greyhound marked-up prior to submitting a naming application.
The decision follows a review of the naming application process, which found Queensland was the only
state that required greyhounds to be marked-up before they could be named, Commissioner Ross Barnett
said.
We anticipate that the removal of this requirement would provide a quicker and easier way for greyhound
owners and trainers to name their dogs, Commissioner Barnett said.
The decision would have immediate effect for Queensland whelped naming applications.
Greyhound participants are advised to cross out the distinguishing features section on page 2 of the
application document, Commissioner Barnett said.
Participants who have already had their greyhound marked up on a naming application are advised to
submit the application as it is after ensuring all other information is completed.
A further review of the decision to remove the mark-up requirement is set to happen within 12 months to
ensure the change has been successfully implemented, he said.
The requirement for greyhounds to be ear-branded and microchipped at the litter stage would continue
unchanged.
The requirement to have a greyhound cleared to race after a name has been issued would also remain the
same.
***This process is to be completed by the stewards prior to race meetings and would require bookings to be
made with the stewards department.
Request for feedback from participants
The QRIC would like to invite all participants to provide any feedback or concerns to Nicole Elliott via email
[email protected] or 0484 086 176.

New figures released from wagering operators have revealed the UBET Nationals held in Brisbane late last month recorded turnover of $3.2 million, the highest ever for a Queensland greyhound meeting.

Racing Queensland CEO, Dr Eliot Forbes said the Nationals proved popular with race fans in all states. This is a very pleasing result for a code that has witnessed significant growth in Queensland over the past year, with wagering revenue increasing by 8.8%.

Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club CEO Luke Gatehouse said it was a great honour for the club to host the Nationals in 2017. We have a long tradition of delivering key racing events and this was one of the best in recent memory. We feel interest in greyhounds is growing and we intend to take full advantage of that and present excellent racing events for years to come.

Before the Nationals there had not been a greyhound meeting in Queensland that exceeded $3 million in turnover. The $3.2 million result represented a 25% increase on the Winter Cup and 11% on the Gold Cup, the other high-profile Group 1 greyhound events in Queensland in 2017.

Mr Gatehouse said the National Distance Race proved the most popular on the race card attracting wagering of $464,000, the first to exceed $450,000.

On an average per race basis the Nationals attracted wagering close to $267,000, compared to the Gold Cup at $261,000 and the Winter Cup at $256,000.

What was also pleasing on the night was that interest on-track was encouraging with over 1000 people in attendance on the night, enjoying a great spectacle.

Nationals sponsor UBET recorded turnover 53% up on the Winter Cup and 44% up on the Gold Cup. Overall UBET attracted over $500,000 in wagering for the event.

Dr Forbes congratulated the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club for staging an event of international importance on the racing calendar.

Racing Queensland was pleased to be able to support the club with its promotion of the event nationally in traditional and social media. Our Facebook live broadcast on Puntersland drew an audience of close to 3200 viewers.

That is great for RQ, now how about reviewing the 28% reduction in Prizemoney cuts that were imposed on the Greyhound Participants to prop up poor decision by RQ. Remembering the Greyhounds have out performed the other two, with Betting Turnover GROWTH.

28% cut + a further previous cut + plus massive appearance money cut, cut, cut.
Plus increased fees...
Then we can talk about meat prices increase, cost of living increases, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...
Expenses go up...income goes down = ???
And people wonder why things have gone to pot.
Apply this theory to an ordinary Aussie family...

Does anyone have ideas on how to make money out of dog droppings?

Theres more money to be made in QLD from making fertiliser out if CANE TOADS.

Soon there will be more money to be made by collecting bottles & cans.

It would be great to get support in parliament for an industry that shows growth but being cut down by the other codes. Now who will stand up in parliament for the underdog, I'll give you one guess.

Any refund Brian on empty bottles of GRANGE HERMITAGE, PINOT NOIR, MOET CHANDON etc, might do a crawl past Parl'House and the Deagon Offices. Good idea, might drop of some fertiliser while there.

This Labour government along with Racing Qld are so Anti greyhound industry, they appointed Mc Sporran (a guy with NO knowledge of our code)to do a hatchet job on the industry,he was so successful they then appointed him to head the Crime and Corruption Commission,Racing Qlds discrimination could not have flourished better under Bjelkes rule, given greyhounds NO breeding scheme and idiotic breeding restrictions, this labour government is a disaster for the greyhound industry .
