With nominations extended for every meeting will they resort to 6 dog fields to get a meeting?

Wont be long & they will have to do this.

Grafton do it. 6 dog fields with reserves.

The Advisory Panel don't give a continental about Bundaberg, that's why there's no TAB in sight they are not concerned about TAB turnover or increasing your prize money,so will they help with 6 dog fields?most likely not.

Unfortunately down to 10 races at Albion Park this Sunday... and 3 races with no Reserves able to be drawn (and 1 scratching already from the latter).

There's the Biggest hurdle Anthony! you still need to feed these dogs, Vet these dogs, Trail these Dogs, Travel with these dogs, for $210? And keep them up to A1 Standards?

Busy (and expensive) night at headquarters tonight so I am told ... Close to - if not - 100% of starters swabbed ... PLUS numerous vehicles searched ...

Article posted in the website Letsgohorseracing. Don't know how to do link. Claims that recent swab results was the cause of the decision to swab all runners and search vehicles. By Gee, someone was pinged for not having his Licence on him, another for handling a greyhound without being licensed and heaven forbid, a Syringe was found. Those Stewards are really on the ball and earning their keep aren't they.

I think a lot more will come out in the weeks ahead. And things may well ebb and flow in a tug-of-war like motion, I expect.

This is REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT.

Could everyone send in your protest to RQ re: GA AMENDMENTS.

They want to make you believe the rules arent really changing...THEN WHY AMEND THEM!?!?
If they make no difference to our normal routine...WHY BRING THEM IN!?
Who determines abnormal and unusual rates?
How do they quantify that?
There are many issues at stake here, do not be blindsided by innocuous amendments.
This is taking away your ability to use your expertise in animal husbandry, maintenance, and special care for your dogs!
Do not allow this to happen...you have to voice your opinion.
If you don't, the amendments will go through and it will be TOO LATE!
We have until 26th February

Send your submissions to RQ.
Do not let these people decide your future any longer.

You have an opportunity to make a difference...NOW!

Thinking out loud....

With the recent "extra attention" Greyhounds have received from QRIC, I'm thinking it's actually a POSITIVE rather than a NEGATIVE.

With the recent debacles with Thoroughbreds and Harness, the current swabbing blitzes with us are making us look pretty damn GOOD!

We just need to keep getting NON-POSITIVES, don't do silly misdemeanours, and we are starting to look like a bloody good proposition!

Keep it up folks, because if we do they have no excuse to take away our prize money anymore!!!!

Sorry Mick: On the other side of the fence it looks like this.
Qld Harness is under a large spotlight "Race Fixing" TRUE?
RQ would love to divert all attention away from QLD TROTS, TRUE?
RQ directs all RQIC officers to attack Greyhounds Qld on the premise of WIDE SPREAD DOPING, TRUE? (Systematic Doping)
Hoping like hell they find SOMETHING, Raids at Albion Park, Ipswich & Capalaba trials. So far ZILCH!!
Mick: What of the 2 Proposed tracks in SE QLD?? since the Election?
Again Mick I sense the Greyhounds are being offered to the Animal Rights, Greens, RSPCA to appease RQ to allow the "Red Hots" to flourish into the future at the "Dogs" expense. JMO of course
BTW: Then there is the sale of Albion Park! No small matter

TJ, I don't disagree with anything you wrote.
The point is if they keep blitzing us and they come up with nothing, it is actually good publicity.
Whatever the reason they have for leaning on us, it is highlighting Greyhounds as becoming "cleaner" than the other codes.
I see it as a massive foot in the door to start promoting Greyhounds to the BLOODY HILT!
All it needs is someone to capitalise on it, a few strategic promotions, and some creativity.
Someone to think outside the square, so to speak.
We could easily take all these blitzes as a negative, get peeved off, throw up the hands and walk away...or get smart about it.

An unlikely opportunity has presented itself I reckon...just need some water to make it grow.

Hi Michael.

Agree. Out of the 3 racing codes, the Greyhounds are the CLEANEST by a country-mile when it comes to "Drug Testing". It should be made public knowledge & not left in small print on the bottom corner of page 51, where nobody will see it.

If I had the time, I'd get on the front-foot & express my thoughts in black n white...& add that much need water by sending it to Hadley, Jones, Smithy & Murray.

They won't ignore the truth if it's sent to them. And that's a fact.

What the Public read is QRIC raids Dog meeting at Albion Park, following tip/off of Drug Doping's! Do they act on every tip/off?
Joe Citizen thinks "Gee the Greyhound Racing game must be dirty"!
Keep throwing mud, as some will eventually stick!
Sadly it looks like a perception is being made to try and discredit Greyhound Racing in QLD, by your very own hierarchy. RQ

RQ: Work with facts, proof, intelligence. Give the Tip/Off's a flick. (The Sky is not falling!!!)

If the raids become bigger news than the RESULTS then we get mud and to a point that is happening.
That's what needs to turn around...that's the opportunity and that's what needs to be capitalised on.
We ain't going to stop them so why not turn it into a positive.
We need some funds to do a bit of bragging...maybe time for the clubs to let the moths fly out of their pockets and get together with the Qgbota and go on the front foot to promote OUR industry.

Well, wouldn't that be bloody lovely, hey.

Title...
QRIC BLITZ PROVES (AGAIN) GREYHOUNDS INTEGRITY SECOND TO NONE.
