Well deserved win by Shimaguni tonight in the stayers final at the Meadows.

Gave a quality dog in Echelon a big start down the back and drew away for an impressive win.

Congratulations to all involved

Steve

I reckon Echelon's run was at least as good - and he was taking ground off her at the finish. Could turn the tables next week.

echelons run tonight was great i thought shimiguni had the outside glide the whole way and echelon was wegded inside most of the run.

Read the post Jack - that one is about last weeks race at the Meadows - mine was responding to Steve's post about Sandown tonight (I suppose I could have quoted it to make that clearer).

Good run by Echelon as well but I think hes had his chance a few times now...

He led her by about 4 last week and couldnt beat her, I'd say Shimaguni would have to lose a leg for him to turn the tables next week but I may be wrong

Steve

I know Mr Meana, Zipping Lad and Yella Mustard are coming through but don't think they'll trouble the big guys at this stage. We'll see soon.

The problem with this bitch is if she does win the final, then she will have to represent her state at Albion Park....a track which I believe she got a ticket there which resulted in her scratching...

not an idea situation...

cheers

Great win on Saturday night at Wentworth Park by Shimaguni living up to her strong heat win.

Building up a great record and cracking the 100k mark hopefully many more wins to come for connections.

Top run top dog but still not breaking 42 with clear run on good track only 2 dogs have that honor.
Future contests between a great group of distance dogs should be worth watching.
We are hoping to return to racing soon injury free with Echelon.

Do you honestly think she can't break 42?

She ran 42.16 in her heat after being completely stopped in her tracks and losing conservatively 6 lengths...

If you don't think she's capable of breaking 42 I think you must live in fairy land!!!

Steven did I raffle your feathers?.
Didn't ever say she could't break 42 just said with a clear run on a good track she didn't do it where as 2 dogs have.
Don't try to twist the facts a lot of dogs get bad inteferance and could have broke records.
Read my thread again top dog top run but not under 42 with a clear run.
Any way fairies fly also? and she is still a great dog.
