Hi Martin
There was a 575 A4 Stake on the IGB website advertised for Newbridge but it has disappeared off the Upcoming Stakes Area.
Do you know if it is still on?
Thanks
David

Lads sorry for not getting back byt by now you are sorted. Spent the last three days at the coursing in Old Kilcullen and its very hard to get past the Stream Inn on the way home.
The A1/2 starts on Saturday evening and it has the makings of a great little stake. First two qualify for the final next weekend and the prize fund to the winner has increased to 900. About the only increase this week after the budget !!!!. Best of luck to all.

Dave I think it was removed as they were stakes that were ran this time last year and due to someones error they appeared again.

The committee have decided to purchase a perpetual cup to be presented yearly to the greyhound of the year around Newbridge Track. This will be a yearly presentation for the greyhound with most wins around the circuit. The winner will also receive a trophy with the Dogs name inscribed for keeps.
Rockmount Eagle currently leads the field for this years award, can he be caught ?.
Martin
Well done to Carol O Connor owner and Brendan Murphy trainer of Rockmount Eagle who claimed the Newbridge Greyhound of the year last night. Not only did he win again (9 in the year here) but he also clocked a lifetime best 28.81 for the 525.
A presentation to the connections will take place in the new year.
Martin.

The supporters club will not be sponsoring any stakes in Jan or Feb due to the loss of race nights and the racing manager trying to keep every greyhound in time .We will be back in force in March with a benefit night on the 15th March.Keep your eye out here as to what stakes/races will be held.
Anyone wishing to sponsor a race/stake on the night can contact myself at [email protected] or 0879449665 or 045434102.
Thanks in advance. Martin

This years benefit night on the 15th March 2013 will be run in conjunction with the Friends of Naas General Hospital. The voluntary work done by the organisation since 1988 has inhanced many departments within the hospital. The Newbridge track supporters club committee are delighted to have them on board this year.

On the request of numerous owners and trainers and with the help of the IGB and the great Staff at the track the 750 yards distance will be restored by this weekend. All entries to the racing manager. Let us support this venture as it is up to us the owners and trainers to make this work.
