Hi All,
What do you all think of Miata being a success at breeding? Do you think she will breed champions? Are a bit sceptical? Why/why not? Furthermore do you think she will become a direct damline to top greyhounds of the furure. All thoughts welcome, on topic of course:)

It will be interesting to see Warren.
Will she complement the sires and throw stamina to their pace, or will the Sire throw in too much fast twitch removing her sensational stamina?
I did read about the fast twitch v slow twitch with dogs - possibly on Tom Mueleman's site - it may present some interesting considerations.
Anyway for mine (and this is purely a guess), I think she will produce but not to her own lofty level.
That being said, if Paul was handing pups out, I'd gladly take one :-)

She's got the breeding that cannot be denied and so I'd put my money on the fact she will produce future stars.
That's my quess.

Hi Tom, I like your analysis and I tend to agree with you but I personally think she wont throw anything of major significants for reasons thst relate to what you outlined in your post.

I'm sure there will be a request to turn their Air Con down that day hey Nick!! lol
I think you're safe mate to be honest, I think she'll produce plenty of good offspring. Will they be a freak superstar like her? Maybe not but I don't think that would make her a failure at all. I'll tip plenty of city winners from her.

The answer probably lies in some of the old threads on Queen lauryn.
The problem for Miata as a broodie is that it is almost certain that she will go to a dog slower than herself

Sandro. I dont think that will work. Ok granted it isnt same line same spot, but my view is people try doing 2 lots of same spot crossing end up with nothing.
Grant I am going to stick my neck out and say she wont breed any better than a handy Wenty Park runner. JMO

At the end of the day if she throws a few handy wenty park winners she's done her job. We all know the best race bitch doesn't equal best brood bitch.
I think she will throw some really nice pups who will win some nice city races. And I would love to have a pup from here.

With Miata's mother (Winsome Bluebird) also clicking well with Credibility sirelines with a very handy litter to History Lesson and producing Blue Lorian to Surf Lorian I would love to see what she could produce to Just the Best personally.
Either way I think she will produce as a brood because her damline has thrown champion racebitches that have backed it up in the breeding barn. Will she ever throw one as good as herself or better- probably not IMO..
