That's why I bred for speed. FABIO (& the WARRIOR) are on my HIT LIST since MOGAMBO enquiries have gone astray :-(

MBF always the faster dog but as he was hitting his straps cracked his stopper and his talented brother stepped up,the scary thing is they had two other brothers just as quick break there leg at break in.

Great dog from a great damline, or is it the great sire who provides the dominance?

I'm assuming the way u talk yourself up you must be a billionaire from the punt then Ryan?!
That quote has nothing to do with me talking my self up about punting. It was actually referring to breeding, in that if you are judging stud dogs dogs on race record rather than ability, then imo you're possibly putting yourself at greater risk of breeding slower dogs.
Quite often the fastest dogs may not have the good looking race record due to a varying number of reasons and a race record is not something you can pass onto progeny however raw ability might be.
Here is the full quote in it's context:

Always Race Record with me Ryan....unless stated.
Trouble with that is it often doesn't give a true indication of ability as the best dog doesn't always win, and absolutely no edge.
Form is a lot of work which I struggle to keep up with. Everyone does what they can I guess, and you live & die by your results.
Hope that explains it a little better.

I guess its open to conjecture Sandro, but I am keen to give this a go in the future. A bit much Head Honcho perhaps but that line will chase shadows.

Darren
Going by what James has said above it could have been of those 'one in 10 year litters' with 4 outstanding male greyhounds in it
Examining the pedigree, you are right, where do you look? The damline has thrown up so many superior 500m+ distance performers of late and the sire, well, he was a phenomenon that was let go.

Or is it the rearing? I wish I knew Sandro. Every little bit counts in my book when you could win or lose a Group race by a nose, but one things for sure....that particular branch of the damline is on fire.

Exactly Steve, the Jones family are renowned for having no peers in that field
