Really interesting original post. Id say its an exciting time with how much tech in human sports is taking over and helping. The introduction of more analysis ie exercise trackers looking at dogs velocity, acceleration and other factors ie heart rate or recovery meaning we could tailor training and recovery to individual dogs.
Track design can be improved using data like above.
Compression suits and electrotherapu modalities whilst we have them I dont think were using them to best of our advantage in injury rehab or race recovery. Someone like Tim Watson (electrotherapy.org) would be brilliant to write a best care possible book or course for each type of injury.
Breeding values used to select breeding stock
Social media meaning we have a united greyhound world so we are all learning off each other and able to interact watching racing from around the world. Watching aus racing on Twitter has really sparked my interested and in our house we now follow aus racing much more.

Weve been using an app called coaches eye when schooling pups so we can link videos and compare speeds in trials at different stages. Also use it for timing and super slow mo

Phillip hurry back with some more info. Compression suits now wide spread in Australia with a large conversion by trainers that never used before, compression suit is now a vital tool in many trainers armoury. Pre race & Post race benefits are evident once you have used.

about 3 years ago looked into getting a chemical made [available in euro. ]]that gave of a scent of blood to aniumals. to spray onto a lure . rule came in no no.

Welcome Robert Nice to hear Graham thinking on scent (although 3 years behind) as been considered. Robert your chemical scent I would imagine a better arousal than aniseed for dog. Did you get to carry out tests ? & submit. Was there any serious consideration given to your positive idea?

Tim Watsons page. The info on here is fantastic and download section for optimum dosage with electrotherapy is fantastic EXTERNAL LINK Ill try and get links to other info. At the minute lots of evidence based physios and sports trainers are against lots of things that are in fashion. Ie the evidence behind Ice baths post sport is very very sketchy for humans yet most pros are using for quick recovery. Id be interested to get someone like Joseph wakshlag or David Marlin to give their opinions on greyhound nutrition

Often wondered if anyone is using the FLIR thermal imaging, found on CAT phones, to detect heat stress or a 'hot hock' etc? Or if it would even work? Or if there is an App that could do this?

Most are now on the Diet with great results A few doubters who support the Kibble Meat Diet fired shots from the trenches. Search Greyhound Diet in the Forum to read the posts
