Josh Caddy looks to be settling in well at tigerland, could have a decent midfield to work with this year

No No they wont need drugs, They should have been in the Finals last year they let slip some easy games, i think they have learned something from that .Yes they will Beat Carlton in the first Round. I see a Different Tiger Rort this Year

Pretty sure Huss is talking about you Bernard and not the Tigers. You know what Bernard. He's spot on with his assessment

I thought you barracked for West Coast now Bernard?Nothing worse than someone who abandons their team in hard times.Take a leaf out of Tor's book Bernard.Support them through good and bad times.

Take a look at Huss and Ryan. They have stuck with their club under THE most trying of times.

Peter Gurry has stuck true to the Saints despite limited success over the years.

Real supporters of football clubs do this. The years the doggies supporters have had to wait for their next premiership is what real supporters are made of.Sth Melb,Geelong supporters waited but always stayed true.

You have forfeited the right to support the Tiges now IMHO.

I like the Tigers Michael, I used to watchem in the 70's punch the crap outa norf

Just thought they overrated Cotchin's ability, as in champions class, and it cost em dearly having little back up for him.

Ryan

I witnessed first hand the likes of Billy Barrot,Roger Dean,Royce Hart,Francis Bourke,Paddy Guinane,John Northey,Kevin Sheedy,Dick Clay, and many others. I was taken every week by my neighbours down the road.My only chance at watching VFL on a weekly basis.Never barracked for them, but enjoyed the hell out of the whole experience.

My neighbours bled yellow and black.Although the parents are now departed, the kids still bleed yellow and black. That loyalty to a club stuck with me for life.I love football and just think you pick a team and stay true no matter what.

I am a Williamstown supporter and will be for life.My aunty and mother were Nth Melbourne supporters when they played in the VFA.To see the the joy when North finally won a VFL flag was something to behold for all those loyal years. So glad it happened before their deaths.

Whilst I might be harsh on Bernard,I believe loyalty is paramount when it comes to this game.

Just my two bobs worth.

Your right about Cotchin too Ryan IMHO

hey me too Michael.

started going with the next door neighbours when I was 9yoa......i musta seen over 500 Essendon games as a club member before the races gota hold of me and i only went occasionally.

those were the days !

ps. I saw sheedy, clay and bourke punch the daylights out of keith greig one day at the G - they were a scary team........and then there was balme - saw him drop ditterich from behind....I thought he was unconscious before he face planted, and balme dropped his knees into the back of his head - he wlda got life today for that !

Ryan

There is a famous picture of Francis Bourke with blood streaming across his dial that epitomises what the game and the Tigers were in that era.I was front and centre at the 73 GF when Laurie Fowler got Big Nick in the opening quarter.First GF I'd been to.It's a team I respect, but not a fan of,Richmond that is.Every Christmas I have to listen to the Richmond hype, but I do respect the passion for the club.

PS.Only Balmy could drop Ditterich.

PPS.I remember my Aunty telling me the best and hardest footballer she had seen in all those years of watching and she was Nth through and through and died in 95.But she said without a doubt it was EJ Whitten. And she had seen Coleman,Barassi,Carey and Ablett Senior.

Marcus Welby: your back! can smell the linament (Footy Season)
Watched my 1st G/F in 68 or 69 Tigers v Carlton, Terrific side the Tiger, Tough! Hands up any AFL player Balme didn't hit! or Dietrich for that matter. (here comes Macwollie).
Like Bernie : I to Barracked for 2 teams growing up Essendon and any Team playing Carlton! (Dont dislike the Hawks) but will never forgive Dipper for the gutter stuff he produced. Huss bring it on

the only dissapointment this year (so far sure they will be many more to come) was not fielding a womens side, not enough women footy players left in latte sipping richmond, place has changed!
barraking for the tigers is a rollercoaster, usually doing down but I think why the supporters hype it up so much, they need to grasp onto something before the enivitable end of the season slump!
hope this year will be different as long as they play with heart all that matters though cant get your hopes up with tigers same as greyhounds.
Yes sticking with the bombers after what they have been through thats dedication for you!
