WHAT WE LEARNED
Adelaide: This is going to be a tough side to break into. Midfielder/small forward Chayce Jones the No.9 overall pick at last year's NAB AFL Draft was the only player in the 26-man squad yet to play senior football. Jones had limited opportunities, with the 19-year-old only playing 35 per cent of game time. With almost a full list to pick from, the Crows have established stars across every line and are going to be hard to beat.
Port Adelaide: The Power's willingness to play on at every opportunity was evident. They were more direct and kicked to more one-on-one contests. The Power will be pleased with how they finished off the game. Jack Watts did some nice things across halfback and could have found his role, along with spending time on a wing. Brad Ebert looked comfortable as a forward, kicking two goals, while Zak Butters all but locked in a round one spot.
