One stump burnt down, two to go!

What a comeback for Steve Smith, and Jamie Lyon. Both these players were
much maligned, Smithy for his weak leadership in the ball tampering, and
Lyon for his earlier attempts at bowling. I myself have been guilty of
aiming abuse there ways. But beyond all the ragging past, these two have
shown the Aussie's undeniable courage, of not accepting defeat lightly.
Humility is a hard word to swallow, but we all have to face it some day.
Their will to win, makes me proud to be Australian.

Smith is a legend. This test confirms it.
And Jamie Lyon has done a great job since switching from rugby league Ron.....

Feeling so deflated this morning after that World Cup victory. Fair play to you Aussies, you thoroughly deserved your win. Cut my expectation down now to a 4-1 victory for us Pom now!

You just need to find a way to get Smith out Barry.
Perhaps stop bowling it at his bat.

Ha ha, good one Jamie.

Barry, more threatening dark clouds are over the powder keg mate, it still has an un-released missile in waiting...Dave Warner is surely about to EXPLODE at any minute!

When he drops his softly softly approach and goes back to his swahbuckling ways, double trouble awaits the Poms. (lol)

I didn't think they would win a Test! Why bowl Starc into the ground playing the 50 over stuff? Why rest Hazelwood for 4 months and not pick him? How could you leave Alex Carey out of the team? Pick him as a batsman. Why would you pick Wade? Really!
Why pick Siddle? just a trundler at 36.

Fella's the "Planets all aligned" for us. We won the toss! Anderson broke down after 4 overs. Smith batted out of his skin, WITHOUT HIM WE LOSE!!...Wade proved a good choice! Better luck than form? They batted last on a fast deteriorating pitch. Was winning the toss the difference?
We need a fit & fired up Starc to deliver!!!
Lets not get to carried away yet. History proves we are most vulnerable after a win. (I still don't like Langer)

Don't worry we got it sorted. Someone is going to break into his room and use his stash of sandpaper to sand his bat down so the ball misses it. Clever eh!

Good on Steve Smith for making his centuries and saving the day for Australia. Also saving himself, Warner and Bancroft from public dissent. We Aussie's don't usually welcome cheaters with open arms. Kyrgios only has to break the smallest of rules and he falls into public dissent instantaneously. Interesting...

Larry there is a definate difference, the cricketers have made a genuine
effort to atone their past behavior, and while I respect your choice to
defend Nick, you would have to admit there is something childish, and so
brattish about him. To admonish everybody and everything because he was
howling foul about a bloody towel...Seriously!

Yes Ron I would say he is immature. IMO a typical male matures between 25 and 30 yrs old Nick is 24 . He holds his towel typically in his mouth and for whatever reason he was bothered that he couldn't have the towel of his choice. As an OCD sufferer I can see his avenue to vent layers of built up emotions . I don't think he's a cheat or a law breaker though just doesn't handle emotions properly.

Agreed Mate, the underlying thing is, that he is so talented, he has his
frustrations, but he also frustrates us into the bargain!!

You can't go silent when Smith goes down apparently hurt badly. Applaud when he gets to his feet and goes off for further treatment. Then boo when Smith comes back on . That's very unclassy . I can't get used to him being back in the team . A bit like a straying partner in a relationship. However to boo is just getting down to a low level , very unclassy I thought.

What would the "Headlines" read if it were English players being felled by INTIMIDATORY bowling. Common Langer speak up! These are your players being targeted.

Fight Fire with Fire, Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins, Pattinson let rip boys! "Fie Fye Foe Fum, I smell the Blood of an Englishman" or token "West Indian".

At least Smithy returned!
They tried it with the Don, how history repeats itself, and so will this team return!

Ron: We have a Captain who looks like a school boy! Yeah yeah nice and polite, and a Coach who chooses his words very very carefully. Doesn't want to rock any body's boat.
The Yanks have a saying "Nice Guys finish second". We have had the competitive Mongrel removed from our Cricket DNA.

Sutherland & Howard are over there enjoying all the trappings & Junkets before departing from the "Golden Nest". Pity they aren't receiving any Boo's. (Probably are from Aussie's)

Yes, your right Tezza, could you imagine Lillee or Thommo sitting back
and watching this debacle, or Ian Chappell, and the great teams of the seventies. This turn the other cheek, is just bullshit up the creek!!!

You take a catch and ya know it's a bump ball ...Its as good as cheating. Should be penalized. The cream will eventually rise to the top.
