Somewhere up in Heaven, where many halo's do abound
Sit's the God of destiny, His face a worried frown
This world we know has ventured, into a spiral down
Now a worldwide virus, is competing for the crown

The year of 2020 has been one of some family despair
With drought, fires, floods, and many lifetime repairs
As many lockdowns now threaten our very own welfare
And rabid panic buying, replacing our old mateship care

Hope resides in all of us, for oh so many many things
May this country always resound to a most peaceful ring
Take a moment to reflect, long upon that rightful thing
Show the many elderly, that it's care and share you bring

Over the many years, looking back at fiction that was written
Only to find so many things. have come into current fruition
A worldwide contamination, is one that leads to prohibition
And then death becomes a common thing, called as retribution

Some will laugh, and some will surely cry, as we walk this road
For some their manifest destiny becomes a tiresome heavy load
Our only chance lies, in man's ability to achieve a peaceful code
Where we can fight this crisis, as a species, in a united mode

This pandemic has the ability to escalate it's viral traits, please take
it seriously!!
