I hope they're right , but it's not my way of training. Sam Switkowski ( freo) has been " managing his workload " underdone i put it . A stress fracture in his L5 last year meant he couldn't really get on the oval. So now he's " managing his workload.
Overlooked in 2014 2015 2016 drafts and taken at pick 72 eventually by freo . What do you think about players who under train so as not to break down. Then expect to go hard in match day pressure?

HERE WE GO AGAIN...with WA thrown into lock down again it spells mayhem for the up coming afl season, with travel arrangements. Get the 2 teams settled in a hub interstate sooner rather than Later, or risk a dishevelled mess once again.

My wife's second team is the bombers and she reckons she was looking forward to them playing west coast and the dockers . I hope the WA teams hub up interstate it might lesson the DISADVANTAGE they have in travel.

Do you train your afl team for 15 minute quarters or 20 minute quarters ? I reckon each club should employ a tactician especially with the standing the mark rule this really opens up some new tactics...in my opinion.

Fremantle's Rory lobby is out for the first half of the season. Who's going jump into his position and become a ready made key position forward overnight. Alex Pearce may fit the bill , he was pushing for all Australian selection before a horrible run of injuries that have seen him out for a long time .
Who really cares it's only Fremantle i hear you say . Did you notice in last week's round of practice matches there was 24 injuries, that's 1 and a 1/3 per team , a staggering amount of players dropping. What's caused this , a deficit in the fitness of players due to last seasons trimming of crucial fitness staff because of covid 19 , shortened quarters last year and crammed fixtures took the game into uncharted waters .
However you dissect the conundrum we maybe in for one hell of a year on the injury front .
Unless its my imagination there also seems to be a lot of players getting to the end of their careers too . Pretty sure the Eagles have quite a few .
