Of all the rules of Covid, the worst has to be the mask
My glasses are fogged, and to see becomes a bloody task
Also, I get frightened from the reflection that it casts
Then some smart bastard says, why wear it, may I ask

Because, a Politician has now decreed it as a mighty law
More money into the coffers for fines, that they can draw
The big brother syndrome, has now come rapidly to the fore
So, mankind will never return to the freedoms we had before

You can now sit upon your verandah, while dobbing in a mate
stuffing yourself full of importance, from the Judas plate
Scaremongering, and downright fear, to which we can't relate
The very thing we have been fighting against, a fascist state

So, if I have offended, or maybe ruffled your feathers some
I will still share my daily bread, while saving you the crumbs
I am not a political zombie yet, how could you be that dumb
My mates wont ever be dobbed by me, the thought leaves me numb

Somewhere over the rainbow, is an untroubled and carefree life
Some lucky coves have found it, in the arms of a beautiful wife
While some have found nothing, but good old trouble and strife
I'll settle for the sounds, of a good wee haunting Scottish pipe.

Nice Ron, you dont need to agree to appreciate the prose lol

I find putting the sunnies on the tip of the nose helps with the fogging.

Hopefully we are out of this soon

My old father god bless his soul, he always said listen to everyone, dont ever cut anyone off even if you dont agree. They may say one thing that teaches you something. Always listen to both side of the argument then make your own mind up. Listen to what people have to say then filter out the bullcrap so to speak.

Everyone is entitled to a opinion, no need to fight and hurl abuse at eachother, takes all sorts to make the world spin

Well said Tor.

I remember listening to Kerry O'Keeffe and Harsha Bogle commentating the cricket on the radio.
Kerry asked Harsha what he loved so much about Australians.
He said 'the way you can have different political and social views but still call each other mate'
He said that it's not like that in India or many countries in the world.

Not like that here anymore either.

Ron, burn the mask and your goggles won't fog up.

Oh but Jamie, this little four letter word can "Mask" so many
different things in life, that it becomes a metaphor for some!
