Has anyone ever had trouble with a greyhound getting car sickness everytime you go sumwhere longer than 15minutes... Ive tried using ginger juice on her dinner every night but sure enough nxt travel sick again....not a great way to be competing esp when she starts racing next month.
So if anyone has any answers or remedies would be much appreciated

Steve, try junket tablets. They have worked in the past.

Steve, there is also "Calm" a preparation available from chemists used mainly on children, we have used it on bad travelling dogs with some success.Use as child dose & increase or decrease depending on results.
Another is "rescue remedy" available through some chemists or health food stores, use 3 or 4 drops on the tongue 3 times daily, used to relieve feelings of anxiety, nervous tension, stress, provides a sense of focus and calm. (so the "Bach" company claim)
I dont think either will return positive, but check before using prior to racing.

Jeez, if I'd known that as a kid, I wouldn't have had to sneak the stuff out of Dad's liquor cabinet and dilute the bottles with water to cover my tracks!

Ron, try a health food shop and if you can get them, give the dog one or two about an hour before you travel. They never affected ours when racing afterwards. However, we haven't needed to use them for ages, so double check the ingredients, as they might have changed by now.
