We have got off to a good start haven't we Stipendiary Steward you may loose that title. Yes you can change a selection up until 5mins before the 1st leg but your replacement No. 9 Mervyn is also scratched so unless you can come back on before 6.30pm Saturday Melbourne time and have another go (with an actual starter) you have the sub. - The Convener

Note: Quassie, Lazza and The Vanderbilts will also have the sub as Mervyn was yanked @ 0.08am 2/1/21 GMT footprint on data. - The Convener

Thanks Larry for the warm welcome mate, although 2 scr from 2 picks in R-7,might indicate that it may not be a good sign for me,LOL.

Ascot Perth WA 2/2/21
Track good 4 raced evenly
Winning Combo 1, 6, 4, 1 $380.80 It should of but it didn't go off.
Winning divs: $3.20 Dance Music, $1.60 Indian Pacific, $3.40 Neufbosc, $14.60 Ouqba Ted
Subs 2nd Leg Indian Pacific won for scratching of Mervyn, benefitting Quassie, The Vanderbilts and Lazza.

Report: Contrary to reports of where the fark is Ascot or playing WA racing is liken to getting a fish hook caught on your nut sack nearly all had a very productive start to the new season with Hummie live into the last leg only to see the first leader of the quad legs fold at the top of the straight, don't worry Hummie it was only going to pay $99.00. We had a new boy in the school yard today, hails from the Jockeys school apparently and can pick a poor ride from a mile off so Mr Daryl Barrett qualifies as a Stipendiary Steward so expect him to trash talk not only poor rides but other contestants on here. I'll give you a kick start Mr Steward that farkin Willie Pike slaughtered a few favs today. Daryl started where all new kids on the block do, on the bottom after today and was bloody lucky not to loose the dacks in his 1st foray into the MSQ. Tip S.S. stick with the sub when you know it's going to be a $1.50 fav. Ladders to follow, note: the order although there are many joint leaders, preference was given to when you bombed out in the quad.

Fruckstein Shield

1- Hummie - w w w x = 3pts
1- Fruckstein - w w x w = 3pts
1- Lazza - w s x w = 3pts
1- Torkin Trailers - w x w w = 3pts
1- The Vanderbilts - x ws w x = 3pts
1- Quassie - x ws w x = 3pts
7- Big Kev - w w x x = 2pts
7- NTPAW - w w x x = 2pts
7- Poohbah - x w w x = 2pts
7- Macwollie Lodge - x w x w = 2pts
11- The Stipendiary Steward - w x x x = 1pt

Possum Lodge Divvy Shield

1- Torkin Trailers $21.20
2- Fruckstein and Hoe's $19.40
3- Lazza $18.80
4- Macwollie Lodge $16.20
5- Hummie $8.20
6- Quassie $6.00
6- The Vanderbilts $6.00
8- Poohbah $5.00
9- NTPAW $4.80
9- Big Kev $4.80
11- The Stipendiary Steward $3.20

There you have it next week back to Flemington Lazza's happy he got to have Perth involved and keep an eye out as the Autumn season goes to every state ie: Qld's Gold Coast in two weeks time. - The Convener

Yes Covener,Silly Willy at it again & he probably "NEWITT",his ride on Steel Prince in the Melb Cup was the start of his very poor rides, showing about the same initiative as someone having to have 3 cracks at picking a horse that,as you stated & unfairly so,that actually started, but you're advice regarding Subs has been heeded & a lesson learned.

Anyway, back to Melbourne next week,so everyone can expect a form reversal....& hopefully no odds on favs..no skill involved picking them.

Interesting biblical fact.

King Solomon was said to be the wisest man in history. He wrote a book called Ecclesiastes which had been called the greatest piece of literature ever written.
It was written in Hebrew.
The Hebrew word for Ecclesiastes is Qoheleth, which means - the Convener.
